The opening was the one for OEM bed lights, which my truck does not have. Usually when they bed line these they paint right over the cover plates but, in my case, they seemed to have taken the plates off and did not replace them. So, I drop wires down from the bed, got underneath and followed...
You can buy the lower grill with mounting hardware from SKT Customs and add your own lights, or you can buy the complete kit, with lights and harnesses, from Vice Design.
Where I live fog is rarely a problem. Spotting deer and hogs before they try to commit suicide running in front of you is the primary application so I went with driving lights.
It is almost impossible to seal the bed of any pickup to prevent dust intrusion. There are openings everywhere. Park it in a sunny spot, crawl inside and close the tailgate. Start stuffing foam and weather stripping everywhere you see light coming through.

That tire will be the same width but more than 2" taller so your speedo will be off about 5MPH at 70MPH. Road noise is more a function of tread pattern, not size. I don't know about rubbing.
Mine are 275/65/20 Milestar Paragonia. They are 34.1" according to Milestar and when I corrected my speedometer for that size it came out perfectly. A 35" tire would only be another 0.5" taller and I wanted to save unsprung weight. Also, I think prices take a big jump for 35 inch tires so I...
