    got tagged this morning

Good lord that is a good looking truck. Hope they restore that back to 100%

Towed for the first time today with my 2019 RAM

You can't beat a nice towing report with pictures. When you say no drop, do you mean no squat? Thanks for posting sir!

    Stock stereo - any reviews?

I specifically looked for trucks w/Alpine after listening to it. Really like the sound at medium volume (i've never gone above 20 on the dial). This is the first vehicle in years where I feel I don't need to do any work on the sound system.

Don't see many crewcab with 6'4" bed

I need the maneuverability of the short bed. I use the truck for home projects, firewood hauls, vacations, but also work road trips, office visits (parking garages), city driving, etc. When I need extra room I've had lots of success tailgate down with tie down straps. When that's still not...

    2019 Rear Gear Ratio swap

The cost of the swap is gonna eat any fuel savings I imagine, unless you're driving 12-20K highway a year. The 3.21 is likely only to return better MPG on highway. In mixed driving, both rear ends will end up in the sweet spot with the 8 speed.

    wind noise from the sunroof

My opinion - ever since I had a wonderful honda accord sunroof drainage clog with tree debris dump about 2 cups of water in my lap after a rain storm I swore off sunroofs. They are great but me personally, I don't open them enough to make them worth the trouble (and the extra weight they...

    Am I ok?

You need to look at the specific payload sticker in the door jam of the truck you're considering. I believe 1780 is a figure from the website, a best case scenario with no options. for a crew cab 4x4

    Added the Pulsar

Tow/Haul should disable MDS with or without Pulsar

    Input on towing setup

Shouldn't be a problem if it's just you and the wife. Keep the truck mostly empty and get all your gear into the trailer to keep the payload within limits. It's true in many half tons and even some 3/4 tons, payload will limit you before towing capacity. For max payload/towing capability...

Really want to tow this trailer with a 2019 Ram 1500

Jettix2 you really did your homework. Given how infrequently you tow that trailer the new truck will probably handle the job just fine (not as comfortable as the 2500 but again, just 3 trips a year, 2 of them very short). Are you dead set on Laramie? I was able to get a loaded up BigHorn that...

Help Deciding, Ordering new Ram tomorrow.

Looks great! However I wanted to call out the problem of payload again. Are you towing that heavy skid steer solo or in a truck loaded with cargo and passengers? Longhorns have notoriously low payload. If you're over payload (besides the usual safety/liability concerns), the air suspension...

Help Deciding, Ordering new Ram tomorrow.

If you tow north of 7500 lbs as mentioned I would do the math on your truck and trailer cargo and review the Payload thread. Apparently Longhorns have the lowest payload of any trim. If you must have the longhorn you could gain some payload by cutting some options.

    Time to see what works...

That truck and trailer look like a fantastic pair. Did you happen to measure the rear end squat before the air bags?

Auto Climate Control Fan Speed - Not accounting for engine temp

This happens for me as well. I have 8.4 Nav that is on the latest software. When I remote start, fans are blowing full blast (no problem with this). They do slow once the driver's door is open (it's noticeable). Ignoring remote start, the fans blow cold air while the engine is warming up which...

No electrical outlets (110V, 400W)< 2019 Laramie trim

Folks who are considering adding the power outlets may need to confirm what alternator they have. The brochure indicates the standard alternator is 180amp and if you have the 400w inverter you get a 220amp. I would confirm a) confirm what alternator you have b) if it's 180amp, confirm it...

Could the Ford Ranger EPA Fuel Mileage investigation also affect Ram?

Ram did not handle their EPA rating properly. I don't know the details on what's going on with the Ranger, but apparently GM did it correctly by rating their off road Rebel equivalents as separate trucks. Just like the Rebel, the AT4/TrailBoss have lift kits, heavier tires, removed air dams...

    Soft Offroading with Laramie 4x4

Great pics! Please update/open a thread when you do the skid plates. Interested to see if you go factory from MOPAR or aftermarket. Also, are you planning to stay with no sidesteps? Or go with an off-road (close fitted) style?

    3.21. vs 3.92 gear

Right on - Bigger tires like you're describing is another story and upgrading may be totally worthwhile. I was providing some evidence to folks who are looking to swap purely for towing on stock size wheels. Two other things to consider. There are tuners out there that are plug and play that...

    Do you like your MDS?

Even before I enabled the eco light, I could sense the MDS. Not a fan of the slight lurch when disengaged, but the supposed 10% MPG improvement every time its on can add up over the years. On the other hand I have an Acura (Honda) V6 with MDS and it is imperceptible. I am a car/engine guru and...

    Soft Offroading with Laramie 4x4

Yeah baby! More pics!!! And do you have the factory (or aftermarket) skid plates? If not, are you worried...?
