I think there is some confusion when you research this because on 4th Gen Rams Tow/Haul did not always disable.
It appears on the 5th Gens, Tow/Haul will disable MDS.
I have a Sept 2018 Build - I had a very good experience with the repair, as the dealer contracted a glass specialist to come on site and perform.
After following the issue at length, my theory is an assembly line machine (or FCA workers) over torquing something during the glass installation at...
I'd cut your losses and trade on something else and roll the dice again. All of these new vehicles are total gambles at this point. I traded an F150 on this Ram that I was constantly having minor problems with. Leaks, parking brake failure, Electrical Gremlins, Horn failure, premature rust, fuel...
I've done nothing that far but many trips up and down I-95 @ 250 miles plus each way.
Truck is a pleasure to drive. A real cruiser. And I'm in a pleb Big Horn!
Engine purrs. Cabin is quiet and refined.
Merry Christmas!
The reason I ask about the tinting is that Tint shops I've worked with claim that tinting on top of rear defrosters can stop them from working.
If you want a tinted back window replacement, best get a pre-tinted replacement.
Here is a recent thread on the topic if you want to read more.
https://5thgenrams.com/community/threads/difference-in-gas-mileage-between-the-3-21-and-3-92.14532/
The 3.21 really only provides a benefit on the highway. If you do a lot of highway driving, you will likely notice the MPG...
Sigh - I've got 2 cracks and a trip through the carwash confirmed water getting inside.
I had traded in an F150 for numerous problems, one of which was water leaks. Taking into the dealer next week. All of the dealers around hear have special water techs so the lead time is much longer for an...
Respectfully disagree!
I did a lot of homework on this as I occasionally tow 7-8k lbs.
See post 165 in this thread:

Spoiler: Ram Hemi 3.21 w/8spd offers the same pulling power at the wheels [arguably more] than the 2016...
Right on sir.
Agreed 20mpg at 80mph for a V8 pickup is impressive.
I came from a F150 5.0 which loved, but never got better than 21 in optimal conditions. Now you increase displacement in this Ram to 5.7 and somehow I'm getting 22-24 HWY consistently.
I attribute it to better aero/drag, 8...
There is a difference, but only for highway mileage.
Bring your speed down to 65-75 and you should see 22+ mpg with 3.21. However, literally YMMV. I see you have the ORG. The 1 inch lift may be hurting your aero/drag.
city and mixed driving is a wash on mpg. Pure highway with light loads the 3.21 can return better mpg.
I have 3.21 and have recorded 22-24mpg averages on 500+ mile round trips on the east coast (90% hwy mile). See my past posts for details/screenshots.
rebels and some off road package trucks...
Keep us posted. Very interested if you get any improvement in the sway.
We have very similar trucks.
I towed a 29ft 2018 Alpha Wolf trailer that was about ~8k lbs. No sway to speak of, but a little porpoising over bumps which is making me consider a Gen-Y Torsion Flex hitch to compensate. That...
@Nyinstaller
What a great post. This should be a sticky/primer on troubleshooting electrical problems.
I came from an F150 that would consistently leave me with a dead truck/battery every 4-5 months. Took it to 2 dealers and 2 independent shops and could not get it diagnosed. Went through 3...
Nice writeup - I think you need to ditch the factory air suspension for this purpose however. If I recall, it throws a code and shuts down if it detects truck is over stickered payload.
