Thanks for the info. I know they will unhook all my new aftermarket stereo equipment that I just installed. Maybe I will wait and see if I really need it done.
I have the PAC AMP PRO. I have a 5 channel amp. 100 wats to each door and you can definitely turn it up past 25. If I turn mine all the way to 36-37 you cant hear the person sitting next to you if they try to talk to you. The 5th channel powers 2 JL 12" subs.
$350 is what they charge online if you can find one. I got mine for $240 at a local shop. Look at the PAC website for a bypass harness that will give you the outputs you need. I think they have them.
I believe that if you use the bypass harness then you will skip the ANC all together. I know you can tap into the speaker wires there for you signal to the amp if your amp has high level inputs. Your best bet is to get the PAC AMP PRO. You will get the remote wire and all the RCA outputs you...
These are the parts I used plus a 4 awg. amp kit. The box I got at a local audio shop a long with the amp pro and subs. I couldn't find the amp pro anywhere on line. You can see where I mounted the crossover for the component speakers. That way its behind the door panels and out of the way...
I did it all my self. The PAC AMP Pro makes keeping all the functions easier.. I have the eco diesel so I don't have the ANC. That made things easier as well. I completely removed the console to run all the wires. 6 bolts and unhooked 2 wires and it was out. Very easy. The radio is 2...
Here is what I installed this last weekend. Installed the amp in the console so I could have access to it. All I use the console for is junk anyway so it keeps me from putting stuff in there.
This weekend I upgraded all my speakers. Kicker components upfront and Kicker 6x9's in the back. 2 JL Audio 12WV3's and a Soundstream 5 channel amp. Crazy loud now.
Yeah, I messed with it this weekend. I can go right through them with no drilling. Now getting through the rubber boot is a different story. There doesn't seem to be much slack to pull the boot out far enough to actually work on fishing the wires through.
Thanks for the input. I wonder if the LC7i didn't work for you because you have the amplified system. I don't have any factory amplification, but I clicked the link and the new amp pro now works with either amplified or non amplified. I wonder if anybody has had any luck with a loopback...
