I don't find HERE to be a joke. And also, in my neck of the woods it's pretty handy to have maps that do not require me to be online. Also a bonus when using maps in rest of the world.
if you want the latest maps (worldwide), just download the HERE maps to your phone and use android auto/apple carplay. Sure the map is smaller, but you don't have to deal with Ram or HERE support.
We have two Hemi trucks. I get oil analyzed sometimes. By default I go by the indicator on the dash, which with my driving is every 10,000 miles. Analysis has confirmed that even at 10,000 miles the oil is fine and I could go longer. So I just change at 10,000. One has 187,000 miles on it...
I love our Ram trucks, but I am also a realist. There's now way in hell I'm buying a first model year truck from Ram, double so for a whole new electric platform.
Totally understand your frustration.
It reads like the first dealership was just shooting the parts cannon at the problem, and not doing any true diagnostics. Second dealership did a much better job, although they forgot to hook mirror cameras up. I'd give them another chance at fixing it...
I used this shop and have been pretty happy with results:
Buff Guys
I have ppf on everything in front of front doors (except chrome parts), and ceramic coat on whole truck.
I agree with the OP. The boomy bass overpowers everything else. It's worst on SiriusXM, and best on Android Auto. Still, I like the no-name system in my 2014 Big Horn better than this mess. Even the puny speakers in our barebones 2012 Black Express were not as annoying. Sure, HK is louder...
After driving my truck for over 50,000 miles and having this issue on a regular basis I can pretty reliably recreate it. It happens most often when it's hot outside and the AC is on, and I accelerate or otherwise stress the engine (going uphill, pass another car). HVAC seems to go into...
Mine has a tendency to be overly protective when backing into my garage. However, if you just rest your foot on the brake pedal (brake lights on, but truck still rolls back) the nanny warns but doesn't brake the truck until it's literally an inch or two away from an obstacle (the wall in my...
Serious question: why do you want to trade for a new Big Horn? Is there something wrong with the Laramie? Because you'd get more than you paid for it?
Whatever you get over what you paid for the Laramie will be lost by buying the Big Horn with new prices being so high (i.e no big incentives...
I also switched to Michelin Defender and they are much better as far as traction and road feel. However, mileage on the Michelins has been awful. 25,000 miles and they're done. I am looking to switch to 18" Rebel wheels. That way I'll have a better selection of tires to choose from, at lower...
Posting this for anyone who'd like to mount something on top of the dash.
Installed the Goat Mount in my 2020. Had and have these in our 4th gen truck and it's a high quality piece. Use it to mount suction cup phone holder in 4th gen to run navigation. Plan to run radar detector on it in our...
Installed the Goat Mount in my 2020. Had and have these in our 4th gen truck and it's a high quality piece. Use it to mount suction cup phone holder in 4th gen to run navigation. Plan to run radar detector on it in our 2020. Keeps power supply clear so I can simply plug the detector in...
I have a Retrax as well. Nothing wrong with it (well, actually I did have a problem but Retrax was very good about addresssing it). It's a great cover, but the canister that holds the rolled up cover takes up a lot of room in the bed. Just keep that in mind.
Just picked up mine. Both manifolds replaced. 1 day wait for parts. I don't understand how one dealer can get parts no problem, and another has to wait a month? Anyway, drives like new and no more hooptie sound when starting :)
Stats: 53,684 miles, no towing, no short trips
