Sorry for the late reply: I like the Michelins, but just like their stock-size brothers, they wear like crazy if you live in an area with twisty roads. I get no more than 30,000 miles out of them. I recently bought a set of Rebel wheels and will be changing to 18" tires soon.
Fluids: follow manufacturer specs
Interval: see above
FYI: We have over 200,000 miles on our 2014 and have never changed transmission fluid. I understand the peace of mind you will get from changing it, I just wanted to add a data point.
Same here. These have worked best for me and have lasted (non-streaking) longest. Helps to have RainX as your windshield washer fluid as well - once I'm above 55mph I don't even need my wipers in regular (non-downpour) rain.
The only thing I don't like about E-Torque is how aggressively it slows down the truck when I'm in cruise and going downhill. In our 2014, it would allow the truck to build some momentum which helped when inevitably the road would go uphill again. With E-Torque, it keeps the speed very close...
Not familiar with this company, but I will personally never get a non-factory extended warranty again. In my experience they deny more claims than factory, and when they do approve them they want you to use non-oem parts.
Good luck with 'patiently' waiting :)
I'm on my fourth Ram now, a 2020 Limited that I love to drive, best truck I have ever owned. We also have a 2014, and while it's not as smooth as the 2020 (mainly due to the lack of air suspension), it still drives fine.
However...
The styling of the...
I don't ask them anything, I just send the sample in to Blackstone. They perform a series of tests and then add some text at the top interpreting those results. When you send a sample in, they do ask for some data, and I believe oil weight is one, can't remember exactly. I always specify the...
Yes, I usually keep my trucks for about 7 years/250,000 miles.
I have not changed the transmission fluid and do not plan to.
We also have a 2014 with just over 200,000 miles and have not changed transmission fluid on it. Shifts like new (knock on wood).
The way I cover myself is to get an...
Not to start another oil thread 🙃, but I thought I'd post the analysis of my oil when changed around 100,000 miles. I'm a simple man, so I follow the oil change counter in the dash as much as possible, and always use synthetic 5W/20.
Enjoy.
there is a slight rub, on the passenger side only, when reversing with the steering cranked over hard. Could probably easily fix it, but have not gotten around to it.
