    Bad fuel mileage 5.7 hemi

I go to work somewhat early in the am, always following 45mph speed limit on our rural roads. Without fail I always run into 2-3 of the same people who are perpetually late...weaving in and out of traffic. I usually catch up to them at an intersection, then they are off again. You would think...

    Bad fuel mileage 5.7 hemi

I dont let other people dictate how I drive. What are they going to do, run over me in their subcompact???

    Bad fuel mileage 5.7 hemi

Im typically getting 17.5-18mpg (70/30 highway bias)

    Stop and go shudder/vibration

How many auto manufacturers seed reps into forums to identify and (hopefully) resolve owner issues? I haven't seen many. Kudos to Ram.

    Bad fuel mileage 5.7 hemi

I reset it before going in to work yesterday. Heavy rain (4auto), did not exceed 60mph on the way in or back...

    Bad fuel mileage 5.7 hemi

What are you guys talking about??? I thought everyone got 20 mpg with their Hemi (80% highway mix)

TT & 5th Gen Ram Towing Sanity Check

I dont think that the weights would be an issue, but the length might be depending on where you tow. If you are towing locally it shouldn't be an issue. If you plan on towing long distances especially on the interstate @ 65mph you may get into the tail wagging the dog scenario. A almost 31ft in...

    Tow report on 3.21

+1 I think the dual exhaust looks great but really sucks when your hooking up your trailer to a running truck. At that point you are sucking in all the exhaust fumes... Yes, you could turn the truck off while hooking up, unless your DW and children are inside sheltering from rain, heat or cold...

    Airs bags needed

Same coil setup. Have you tried Timbrens? A 6K TT could reduce your payload up to 900#, so depending on how much you load up your truck you may be exceeding your payload rating.

    exhaust resonance? ATMM?

Is it MDS resonance that many owners experience?
  12. raven_DT

    Do you like your MDS?

I especially like when MDS engages and your wonderful throaty Hemi note is neutered into sounding like you have an exhaust leak...

    2019 vs 2016

It definitely can, especially if you have passenger car tires (OEM) found on most DT Rams and not LT tires. I tow at 40psi (Dueler H\L) all around since I'm not maxed out payload wise. You also might want to check to make sure that you have the correct tongue weight (10-15% of your trailer...

Mopar’s “Ram Airflow” Cold-Air Intake System For Ram 1500:

The DT essentially has a cold air intake stock, since its pulling from the wheel well. I was thinking that the Mopar intake would offer a less restrictive flow and possibly slightly better performance. Doesn't look like it so far. Thanks for posting your data.

    Metallic rattle with moderate throttle

Can you replicate the sound with MDS off "select 8th gear/ engage tow/haul mode)?

Mopar’s “Ram Airflow” Cold-Air Intake System For Ram 1500:

I'm not sure what a "bonus standard" is... but I know that engineers provide design solutions that meet requirements, cost and schedule.

Mopar’s “Ram Airflow” Cold-Air Intake System For Ram 1500:

Apparently RAM engineers are concerned with fuel economy too: see active front air dam, grill shutters, 8 speed transmission, lighter/higher strength materials, aerodynamic design...

    1/2 ton towing

https://gmauthority.com/blog/2019/12/silverado-driver-caught-towing-53-foot-semi-trailer/ Driver allegedly said, 'My Silverado doesn't even know its back there' and 'It tows like a dream'...

11,000lb camper towing with 2019 big horn

You are deep into 3/4 ton territory. Can you pull 11K? Sure. Can you stop it? Hopefully. Can you control it? Maybe most of the time. Will you be over payload? Almost certainly. If weather, road and traffic conditions are all perfect when youre towing you shouldn't have an issue...
