I agree with you about 4WD, but racing from stop light to stop light is juvenile and honestly stupid. When someone pulls up next to me at a stop light I pretty much ignore them. Who cares who makes it to the next stop light first? I'm just trying to get home, or the store, or one of my...
If this is at a stake pocket it's clear that you overloaded the bed or you didn't have it secured correctly. You may be able to cut the damage out and weld in new sheet metal to fix it but I'm not sure if that will weaken it. I'd take it to a body shop and talk about how they would fix it...
^^This. Truth is, most people use a half ton truck as a car most of the time, and maybe occasionally tow a boat or small travel trailer. Maybe haul a load of mulch home for the garden. I'm in that category. And for that type of use either Hurricane variant should be a great engine. People...
@silver billet is correct here. The 3rd gen Hemi was designed to use a billet cam but was overruled by the bean counters. People who have switched to aftermarket cams have not seen failures after switching.
It’s about time. My only issue with this is that’s a regular cab truck. Ram no longer even makes a regular cab 1500. I’m wondering if they’ll finally be making one on the 5th gen platform?
Ram was never in the Cup series and since Kuniskis is head of the Ram brand I don’t think he has a lot...
First thing first...please include your truck details when you make a thread in which you're asking for help. Your pic shows the damage but exactly where is this damage located?
You're misunderstanding. The Hemi is a $1200 upgrade from the 3.6L V6 Pentastar engine, not from the SO Hurricane. The SO Hurricane is actually a $1605 updrade from the Pentastar, so the Hemi is cheaper than the SO Hurricane.
The thing that gets me is that the Hemi is a $0 upgrade for the...
Sounds like you might want to get something else for the times you want to haul luggage around and keep it clean. It's one of the reasons we bought our Grand Cherokee. The Ram is for times when I need to use a truck and the GC has taken over as the grocery getter/other uses.
If I'm being completely honest I wasn't a fan of the 5th gens when spy shots of them started showing up online. And according to several threads on other Ram truck forums there were a lot of people who shared that opinion. I owned a couple 4th gens and loved (still do) how they look. I really...
Thanks for taking the time to do this! Does this work for any Stellantis vehicle? I tried it with Grand Cherokee VIN's and it works for those too. I even compared a Grand Cherokee with a Ram 1500 and got interesting results lol.
Haha, that’s what I thought at first. Until we tried it. I mean it’s up to you, but I will say there’s no debate in my mind about which is better for getting rid of cigar smoke smell. The Rabbit will purify the air pretty well. But the ozone generator will rid everything in the room of smoke...
Honestly you’re better off with an ozone generator than a purifier like the Rabbit. The biggest advantage is there are no filters to clean or purchase. The price of an ozone generator is significantly less than a Rabbit. And the fact that there is no portable air purifier that’s as effective...
