Its kind of funny how Toyota is perceived to be this flawless company producing near perfect vehicles yet they lead the auto industry in recalls. I have had a few and some were great and some sucked just like any other company.
As an FYI on this process, I spoke to someone about programming the Fob with the tailgate drop. What I found out is that the fob isn't really programmed, the truck is because they add the new fob so the truck will accept it and its function buttons. The local dealer wanted $130 for the...
Pretty sure the lemon law will not help you if the rattle does not affect performance in any way. Lemon laws are focused on mechanical defects that cannot or will not be remedied. As much as I can sympathize with you because I HATE rattles and vibrations I would say sell it or trade it and get...
Mine doesn't seem to be sensitive to heat or cold. Now that all the upgrades have been done it seems to work fine with the exception of leaving the phone plugged in, turn off the truck and go into a store etc, come back start up and it doesn't like that the phone was already plugged in. You have...
Since its used it could have sat on the lot for who knows how long and you can accumulate moisture in the gas tank. Run a couple bottles of dry gas or fuel treatment through it to get the moisture cleared out. Sometimes its just simple things that people make complicated.
These U-connect systems update themselves and when they do they can change the port that Carplay recognizes so move the cord to different ports. Mine initially worked using the ports behind the console and after the upgrade switched to one on the dash.
A quick and easy thing you can do is use some gas treatment. Sometimes there's more water accumulation in the gas tank than you may think and it can cause the rough running/idling issues you have and in the cold its worse. If the trucks have sat a while on dealer lots its even more prevalent...
The real question is will they take responsibility for their lack of proper care of your truck? That all depends on the leadership of that particular dealership. The behavior of the operational employees always starts from the top. If they have high values and are honest they will make you...
The biggest concern I had before the muffler arrived was if the clocking position of the flange and hangers would be where they needed to be. They lined up well enough so the install went well. I bought a new flange gasket since this doesn't come with the assembly and installed the new unit...
There are a few threads here about the issue when stopping it feels like the truck will lurch forward. I thought I remembered it had to do with the drive shaft.
Nothing like what you are experiencing. Ask them how much lead they are using to balance the tires. It may be a bad tire that just wont spin well at speed. Everything starts with the tires since they what is in contact with the road. Weight in the bed wont fix vibration/balance issues. Do you...
Make sure you tell the dealer this is a SAFETY issue and should be repaired immediately. Tell them because of the moisture the headlight effectiveness is severely reduced to almost nothing.
And you think our government can correct these issues? They have done such a great job of it thus far eh? You think suddenly all these items will magically start being made in the US because of tariffs? I got my laugh for the day. I hasn't happened yet and it won happen because our idiot...
Personally I am consistent in my belief that the federal government doesn't belong in the business of subsidizing anything that doesn't have some relation to this countries security. By the same token they should also not be in the business of penalizing businesses that don't align with their...
