Thats a hell of a way for a truck to treat an owner. I have run my battery down pretty good and not had those sorts of issues. There has to be something wrong with it because how it behaved is not normal even under the conditions you described. I would force the dealer to test the charging...
If your going to spend the money then spend it right!l Take a look at this info on the Torqstorm. Its what I have been looking at. You can also replace the steel flywheel with an aluminum one and gain some rpm's.

I am Engineer by trade and I can tell you most of my peers state the facts and let marketing and sales stretch the truth so its offensive to hear someone say its the Engineers who are deceiving the public to make more money etc etc. I think people are over thinking things here. I would change...
What many of us have learned here is that in most cases the reason a particular oil isn't approved is that they did not go through the official certification process with FCA. As long as the oil you are using meets or exceeds the manufacturers recommended parameters you will be ok to use what...
I felt the same way when I traded my 2009 Challenger R/T in for this truck. I really didn't want to get rid of it but they offered me 11k for it and it had 108k miles on it. It still ran like the day i got it when i waved goodbye!
You could get a deal at the end of December when Sales needs numbers to make quota's. I bought my Challenger on Dec 31st of 2009 and they cut the price big time because they needed the numbers for their quota's so if you dont see a good deal wait them out. Production is way down right now and...
If you have one of those ratcheted cargo bars that is mounted too far back in the bed towards the tailgate, it will misalign the bed and the gate wont close properly.
Sometimes they do this because if there is a bad parasitic drain on the battery and they dont find it, it will just keep killing batteries until they find the cause.
Regardless of which one of the above it winds up being, constant discharging and low voltage on the battery will ruin it so if its something parasitic or the charging system is failing the battery is the victim and should also be replaced once they figure this out.
Pay attention to it for a couple weeks especially when it gets cold. If one of the cells got weak or just slightly damaged the cold will for sure kill it.
FYI- your battery at a full charge should meter about 13.8 volts. If its at 9 or 10 volts its usually toasted. This whole scenario of yours concerns me. The last thing anyone wants is a dead truck. The high energy ignition system and all the other electrical drains can take a toll on the battery...
When i had this issue the dealer checked it and said it happens during the change over from winter to summer gas & back again. After a couple weeks it stopped doing it. I dont see the logic but that's what happened.
I have had it completely shut off the speakers but not partially. Apple Carplay displays on the screen when this happens. It seems to think that some sort of output from the iphone is coming. When it does this I just touch the radio or usb button and the speakers play as they normally would.
Does the keyless remote work at least 150 feet away? I believe that it also goes through the shark fin so if that works the antenna is probably working..
