Heads up if you are about to do this very common CHSML upgrade.
I also had a long term problem with inexpensive LED replacement lamps (JDM AStars) for the third brake light. About one in four starts would require me to press the start button with the key fob.
After advice on this forum, I...
I have the Bak MX4 for RAM Boxes and am super happy with it.
If that is the one you choose, shop around to get the best price, as Bak sells thru other vendors as well as direct.
The answer depends on what you have installed:
Measured widths:
Main RAMBox Bed (rib inside to rib inside, without a spray in bed liner) - 50 1/8"
Between welded in cargo tie down loops - 49"
Between mounted side rails of BakFlip MX4 tonneau cover - 47 7/8"
Between RAMBox moveable upper cargo...
VERY happy with my BF Goodrich Advantage T/A tires. Bought them paired with HELO rims from Discount Tire. Tires are 275/60 R20s. See signature picture.
Very quiet running and seem to be wearing well and evenly.
Early on I heard pronounced whine/whirr, which I blamed on the tires, but it was...
Make printed copies of the quotes from Ziegler and other providers (they need to be FCA) and take them with you when you talk to the dealership financial department. For sure, it takes the wind out of their hard sell of a drastically marked up FCA warranty, and it shows them you've researched...
If you have a RAM Box bed and you are "thrifty".......
I bought an outdoor mat of the recycled tire bits variety at Wal-Mart. Width was perfect and required just a little trim off one end for length. Cost was about $30. Nice and grippy.
That is a good question about the quality level at the difference price points.
If memory serves, Katzkin offers a couple "levels" that correspond to how much of the seat is covered in real leather. The higher level with more leather is called "Upgraded Content".
Note that this info is...
Wow, it looks like the Mopar instructions have changed over time.
When I installed my wireless charger last year, I spliced the red wire into C3, pin 9.
Looks like the instructions on the Mopar site don't mention the red wire or that connection at all.
For what it is worth, here is a link to...
Sincere apologies for even asking this......but......could the plug into the controller module be loose (not fully snapped in)?
It takes some contortion to get your hand up there above the pedal mechanism, so maybe the connector popped loose.
Sorry, to tell you but.....they are trying to rip you off. My guess would be that they feel they can get away with abusing you since the other local shop is closed. As a result, they are probably swamped with work so if you don't bite on the inflated price, there are plenty of other suckers...
QUESTIONS:
1. Is this the correct process for ordering: Give deposit, place order, and when truck is delivered you do trade-in and complete purchase paperwork?
This was the process when I ordered and received my RAM. Just keep in mind that some dealerships are very friendly to ordering and some...
You could try replacing the manufacturer's adhesive with the strongest 3M double sided adhesive, but I'm doubting that would work, given the surface.
I second the recommendation for the Pro Clip mount. I put one in my Big Horn about a month ago and it is fantastic. Not cheap, but high quality...
I ordered my truck and endured the three month wait so I could get RAM Boxes on a 1500 without all the extras I wouldn't use.
I use them regularly to store all the stuff that I used to store in the cab like tie downs, hitch receivers, hand tools, etc. It keeps the cab quieter since I can't hear...
Wow, I think you have a right to be concerned. This makes you put a LOT of trust in your dealer.
I went through the order process (Koons) to get exactly what I wanted and no more. We did not sign a "formal contract", but at least I had good paperwork that I was confident that I could hold the...
$200 for the flash is not a fixed price.
I had mine flashed to add the trailer brake controller and they charged me $65. Still good money for them since it took a few minutes.
Recommend that you have the flash done while they do other work, rather than standalone. Especially true if you need a...
I was concerned about running out in the middle of the job. Gtechniq said to only do one coat and that's what I did, using right at half of the 30ml bottle.
Surprised me too. I knew i was not underapplying as I was definitely wiping off excess and that excess caused the microfiber towel to...
Glad to help.
Since the wheels were new and not mounted on the truck, I did the entire rim, barrels included. This lets me more easily wash dirt out of the barrels. The barrels are painted gloss black, so dirt shows, and the bright machined "spokes" of the wheel stand out more when the barrel...
