    My Truck Just Stopped!!!

I wouldn't say the dealership is necessarily wrong. Battery chemistry and physics aren't simple. If a voltmeter shows 12V for a 12V battery, that is not an ideal indication of a good battery. Holding that voltage under a decent load over a long time period is a much better test. Sorry my...

    Wireless charger

Sorry, I haven't tried unplugging that connection to see what happens. I don't have the wiring chart to see what that connection actually is. With that connection the charger works and I didn't have to have any sales codes entered by the dealer.

    cellphone holders

+2 on the ProClip. I've had it for over a year now with no issues. Perfect placement of the phone where you can see it well, but not interfere with steering or any control. No longer have to look down to see who is calling, pause my audio book, peek at the radar app, etc. Hint, you can...

    Painting tow hooks?

Go24Girl....... Tow Hook bolts are torqued to 137 ft lbs (front bolt) and 85 ft lbs (back bolt), so you need a big wrench in a very tight spot. 3/4" air impact wrench with an extension and universal joint might do it.

Radio Auto-Play when starting (Post Bluetooth listening)

I have the exact same gripe, but have not found an answer. At the very minimum, there should be a boost/cut setting in UConnect so that the Bluetooth input could be boosted to match the radio. I've driven other vehicles that had that feature. If nothing else, I wish it could match my Pacifica...

2021 Ram 1500 Running Boards, Sidesteps and Tonneau Covers

The silver rails allow you to use the moveable tie downs, so you won't loose them. I don't have the bed divider, so I can't speak to that. Post #7 shows pictures of the silver rails with the tie downs in use with the MX4..

    Katzkin installation

I got mine on eBay from user TouchUps in 2019. I had zero problems with my purchase, and did all my own work. A quick look shows them still on eBay, still selling Katzkin, and maintaining a great rating. No affiliation, just a happy customer.

New to Ram - Big Horn or Laramie?

If leather is an important deciding factor, then one option is to get the better incentives on the Big Horn and use the saving to add Katskin leather seat covering replacements. That is what I choose to do. If you are handy, you can install a kit yourself, or most dealers offer it as an upgrade...

Hold my beer, I'mma make my own tonneau cover

You could also use a table saw with a sharp high tooth count carbide blade to mill out the "slots". The HDPE cuts surprisingly clean. I've done so on several projects. For something that small, you would want to use finger boards or a jig so that you retain your fingers long enough to complete...

    Tri-fold cover

I've had the BakFlip MX4 (the RAMBox version) for about a year and a half. The MX4 seals really well and I've never seen a leak forward of the tailgate corners. The 1500 tailgate design leaves about a 1/2" gap in the corners. Easy to fix. Go to your local home improvement store and get a roll...

2021 Ram 1500 Running Boards, Sidesteps and Tonneau Covers

As you wish.... BAKFlip MX-4 Cover Closed Detail of overlap at side and tailgate. Note tailgate can be closed with cover down. Cover 2/3 open and secured with built in straps. Cover full open and secured with built in support rods. Bumpers protect glass. Cover fully open. Cover can be...

2021 Ram 1500 Running Boards, Sidesteps and Tonneau Covers

I have a BakFlip MX4 tonneau cover with my RamBoxes. It works great, has given no trouble, and leaks only a tiny bit of water in heavy rain ( I never got around to putting some filler in the huge gaps at the edge of the tailgate, not the cover's fault). Not sure about the weight limit. BAK...

    Tow Hook Hardware

Maybe some incredibly kind and helpful 1500 owner that hasn't installed their tow hooks yet could take a picture of the rings along with a ruler? I could probably make some from scrap but I don't know if they are like grommets or just thick spacers. The indentation in the top of the hook seems...

    Swapping From 18's to 20's

I went from stock 18's to aftermarket 20's. According to my GPS, my speedometer now reads about 2 mph slow.

Interested. I bought a set and they don't have the rings either.

LUYED LED- New (Frugal) LED Reverse Light.

I've also added a pair of these lights using the Curt adapter harness and they work great. Vast improvement to night time backup camera views. I've had trouble in the past with two sided tape breaking loose over time, so I used a bolted on attachment. Basically just a scrap aluminum plate...

Swapping out Big Horn basic cloth seats for something better?

I did my own swap of factory cloth for Katzkin leather. Here is the original post if you want to see pics: Katzkin Leather Install - Post #13 Not cheap, but way cheaper than having to buy a package just to get the leather seating. Also, this way you have a choice of colors and styles instead...

Key Fob Not Detected - new LEDs were causing it.

Didn't want to start a debate, just reporting my experience, so other forum members could potentially fix things if they are seeing the same problem. I bought the first third brake light LED replacement using recommendations/links off this forum in 2019, and pretty quickly started seeing the...

Sanity check, please, before online purchase?

I'm running a pretty similar setup on my Big Horn, HELO HE909s, but I bought mine with the optional +18 offset just to be safe. I'd rather have the tires tucked in tighter to help protect the paint from thrown rocks and grit. I'm running 275/55R20 with no rubbing. Out trucks are hub centric, so...
