Oh, I’m aware…I spent more to order my Longhorn with everything back in ‘18, but I wanted the unique interior, grille, and wheels of that trim.
On the plus side, it was paid off a long time ago, and I still receive compliments (especially on the interior) all the time.
True that the Limited comes with more standard features than the Lonhorn. But the two trims can be identically equipped - ignoring aesthetic differences, obviously.
Sounds similar to the CarlinKit 3.0 I've been using. No iOS conflicts, but it's glitched a few times - requiring a quick unplug/replug/reboot to fix. I'll be doing a two-day drive in June that will test it more thoroughly.
If it’s any small consolation, a good friend of mine had his F-150 (2.7L EcoBoost) fail catastrophically at 56K. It took Ford more than 10 months under warranty to get it replaced (while he was making payments and insurance). He wasn’t given another vehicle in the interim. Ultimately, he...
I’m in the same boat as you, I think. Some minor chips since late 2018, but nothing too noticeable and no cracks yet.
I’ll go OEM for sure when it comes time for a replacement.
When I was shopping in ‘18, there were thousands of previous-generation Denalis sitting on lots in DFW. I was offered something like $14K off sticker before I even jumped in one for a test drive.
Loved the 6.2L, of course. It was the most fun “big 3” truck to zip around in, without question...
Have you analyzed that output signal to the sub? It would be interesting to see if they’ve over-boosted mid-bass output to the sub (e.g., to compensate for factory 6x9 frequency response limitations).
This was discussed a couple of years back, with the same answer about the rear plate.
But like you, the screws in my rear plate are the same size. I guess it's possible the dealership just jammed larger screws in when mounting their branded license plate frame prior to delivery.
You misinterpreted my comments; apologies if I wasn't clear.
Tow/Haul mode does indeed disable the automatic shift to Aero mode that normally occurs at highways speeds (if so configured in UConnect). Don't believe me? Try enabling Tow/Haul after your truck drops from Normal to Aero on the...
Just for kicks, I ran in Tow/Haul today while carrying close to max payload in the bed (not towing). I appreciated the braking assist.
A couple of other notes: I’d forgotten that T/H disables automatic Aero mode (air suspension). And this might have been the heaviest payload I’ve carried in...
