I have an OEM spray-in liner with an inexpensive rubber mat to take abuse and prevent slippage. Sounds like you could get away with a mat only. A spray-in would provide a lot of additional protection, but obviously at a higher cost.
Dangerous glare to oncoming drivers resulting from the use of bulbs not specifically designed and tested for the contours of a given housing. Brighter isn’t better if light isn’t focused correctly, so small variations matter, especially when LEDs have very different light spread from halogen...
Yes, there are downsides (crazy glare, illegal - even if people do it all the time). There are aftermarket units and/or OEM LED lights that might be affordable if you can find them used. Search for existing threads on this topic.
Sorry, but no. As we discussed in this and other threads, the real "payload losers" are deep into the 900s these days!
Edit: Over in the "Please post your Tire and Loading sticker" thread, the lowest I found (quickly) were 1,012 (actual door sticker) and 949 (computed using real VIN for...

I do remember that @Edwards had (what we thought was) an identically-equipped truck, only his was a Limited, and his sticker read 1141 (IIRC) to my 1069. We never did figure out the difference!
There's an old thread on payload where everyone listed their weights. I think @devildodge may have started it. I held the record for the lowest payload (1,069 lb) with my 2019 Longhorn until the multi-function tailgate was introduced...in which case we started to see some not-quite-half-ton...
Well...the rotations cost you some of your time and a bit of gas money, unless they're coming out and doing this in your driveway. But your point about low cost preventative maintenance is understood.
Personally, I follow the oil life monitor / one year limit for oil changes, which typically...
