Same. I replaced the low/high beams & fog lights with LED, makes a world of difference.
Also changed the cargo, map and dome lights as well.
Lasfit is the brand I went with.
Thank you very much for the advice.
I do have a multimeter, will definitely check it, if I can figure out the proper setting, and what to look for on the screen.
This LOC just has speaker outputs and a ground, so I assume it does not present any load.
So it's either get one that does, or obtain these resistors you speak of, that I am not familiar with.
Question for all who have dealt with this...
I have the base 6 speakers system, I just purchased the PAC ANC-CH01 harness for $30. I have a basic LOC (rockford fosgate), is this all I will need or do I also need to get the AP4-CH41 r.2 ?
All I want to do is add a mono amp and sub.
I just installed Lasfit low & high beams, fog, cargo, map & dome lights this evening.
Took it for a drive a few minutes ago, and oh my, its like a totally different truck.
Pain in the *** to install, hard to get to the low beams, but well worth it.
I installed Lasfit LED's this evening, noticed the high beams are like a slip fit via o-ring compression, where as the low beams use the turn & lock.
I also used the existing o-rings from the halogens, not super tight like you'd expect, but good enough I guess.
Funny I've been trying to figure out how to turn mine completely off all evening, then this thread pops up.
What good is an *OFF* switch setting.
Oh, I have a Drive-In 5 minutes from my house, guess I'll get the headlights tinted.
I'm considering doing the same, but don't want to mess with the ride.
What's funny is that sometimes the truck appears to be level, and sometimes it looks like an old jacked up hot rod.
Sitting in my carport, looks level, sitting in a random parking lot, jacked up. Lots of variables I know.
Just spoke to a PAC tech support guy, he said if you hook up a LOC pre-ANC, like right behind the stereo, that it will have zero effect on the amp/sub.
He said most have issues with this because they tap into the rear speakers, via post ANC.
I don't believe it...
