How are you guys getting dealer etas? My truck has been in the "shipping" stage for a week and I've had the window sticker for a while, but Ram Chat keeps saying they can't give me a dealer ETA.

I got my build sheet on 6/11 and don't have a window sticker yet.

I finally got a build sheet today. I assumed that meant D1 status, but when I asked RAM Chat, they said the vehicle has been built and is pending inspection. Anyone got any idea how long it usually takes from this stage to shipment? RAM Chat had no idea. I also asked what status the truck was...

When my new truck arrives, I'll be selling my 2007 SUV with 182k miles.

I tend to keep my vehicles for a long time, so I plan on keeping mine unless a hybrid comes out with good towing specs.

Do you have a written confirmation of your order and the price? I'm asking because I ordered from them on April 16, but now I'm wondering if they'll honor my price. I do have a signed Sold Order Deposit that shows the price.

The problem isn't towing capacity or payload, it's range while towing. For most EVs, towing cuts projected range by around 40-50%. Depending on what and how far you tow, the Lightening may be a good option. For me, sadly, it's not because I tow horses. The nearest big vet hospital is 130 miles...

Mine hasn't shipped yet, but Bud Clary said they'll do a video of the entire inspection and send it to me. There are also specific areas I've asked them to video, such as the undercarriage (for rust). All the paperwork is being done via email and text.

You could always run an extension cord from the house and plug in each night. 110 will be slow to charge, but it'll give you something at least.

I'm in Los Angeles and ordered from Phillip Olsen in WA. I plan on having it shipped - it's cheaper than the lost billable hours I'd incur by flying up and driving it back.

You are correct. So for us and @Bay Area RAM, there's no tax difference between trading in and selling privately.
