Here's another patent illustration showing different piston bowl designs developed to enable the engine to pass emissions without a diesel oxidation catalyst. The new engine is shaping up to be awesome.(see attachment)

Also, there have been many, many patents issued for 9 thru 12 speed transmissions over the past couple of years, granted to Aisin, Allison, ect. In particular, Allison has one that fits into the 1000/2000 series envelop, and is a nine speed.

If you look up US patent 20180087410 A1 it talks about this being a very cost driven design, which to me indicates it is for the light truck market. Picture of the rockers attached, looking somewhat similar to the current ones.(see attachment)
