One item at the end of zeigler's website mentions the dealer has their own extended warranty exclusions. See dealer for details. Gotta wonder how that works against you. Here's a interesting detail in the general MaxCare PDF flyer:
"Plan service will be provided by the dealer who sold you the...
After GM's 2009 bankruptcy the US Treasury backed warranties up to $360million per wiki. I bet it didn't cover all claims which probably impacts longer term extended warranties more than the typical 3 yr/36k mile new vehicle policies.
And watch out as some dealer financial depts try to sell 3rd party extended warranties to maximize their profits per sale.
These days It might be good to consider how manufacturer extended warranty's fair gawd forbid FCA goes bankrupt.
There's no substitute for good old fashion data. Having said that, I noticed mine pretty quickly. It was parked outdoor on a 82 degree cloudy June day in Idaho and the a/c couldn't drop temp down with any authority. The placebo of air conditioner fan and vent noise was no help.
That's well overbuilt with respect to PSI. Not sure why they don't list the temp spec but given it's lead free I assume it's hot water heater rated. My hot water tank shows a max outlet temp of 160F. I assume pressurized engine hot water systems can reach 220F.
I had to google WOG. Looks like...
Hopefully it's a one-off but I had a bad result from Advanced Auto Parts' valve (p/n 84706). I closed the valve in prep for summer and quickly noticed a leak from the thread area beneath the wing knob. I verified the lock nut at the base of the threads was tight.
I hope the next one lasts...
Nice. I wonder how they isolated the expansion valve as the source of the problem.
Unless it's a different problem I'm not sure how it could tie in with the suspected blending problem solved via the hack.
Aside from sales to move slower selling products, manufacturers tend to make it more economical when buying the package versus ala cart'ing it up to a higher grade.
Of course it all depends on what you want. The things I wanted were better packaged in the Laramie.
Yep, a lot of forums are trying to follow the lead of the big forum owners like Verticalscope and are transitioning to obnoxious in your face ads. Unfortunately, these forums are being bought out with a goal of maximizing ad revenue and little regard for the user experience. I'm all for...
I bet dealers are sweating bullets FCA will leave them hung out to dry with huge inventory. FCA has to do better than 0% 84 mos and delaying payments a few months if they want to move inventory in this recession/depression. It's hard to imagine how FCA increases sales without significant money...
Yes, good job trying. I guess a lemon law implies the lemon vehicle has a substantial defect the manufacturer can't correct.
On the bright side FCA's defense isn't the hvac system is functioning properly.
I would bet most idiopathic spontaneous vehicle glass breaks these days are related to quality/manufacturing issues and very few design related. If done correct, everything has a built-in engineering over-design margin, tested to extreme conditions, and then there are factory window tint...
As we've all heard, the big three have shut down the plants for UAW/covid19. But vehicle sales are down significantly (~over 30%) so it probably doesn't make sense to keep pushing them out the door. Gawd knows dealers don't want to choke on excess supply when demand hits the skids.
I wouldn't say too many people feel it's a scam rather they know there's no free lunch and feel $250 isn't enough to hand over personal information in exchange for being bothered by phone, text, email, and USPS mail the next so many years.
