Looks promising but there's at least two Ram 1500 owner complained on AMZN it didn't work. Any idea what their problems were? They claim it easily slips off the filter and vice versa the filter slips out after its removal- both scenarios making bigger messes than other methods.
Nice! Hopefully our ACs will finally work like all other vehicles on the road. Not much to ask for.
This was a real eye opener into the dirty inner workings of how FCA and their independent dealers handle auto warranties. Over a year with FCA silent on the matter, dealerships telling customers...
Wonder if a shady sales person saw the $3000 rebate and the 2012 Journey lifetime warranty and decided to grease the skids on the new pickup sale. Of course you're probably giving up more than $3000 to toss the extended warranty so it's not a worthwhile rebate.
Still there should have been a...
I was in Idaho during the summer before I had ceramic tint applied to the pano glass, it was only 85degs out with clouds, but I could still feel the heat coming through the pano roof fabric. We've all heard the sad stories about lives lost from 160deg inside temps. The poly fabric can block some...
FCA's pano design lacks any significant insulation. It's just a fabric cover with possibly light window tint. The heat is easily felt through the fabric on a summer's day. I've owned a number of sunroof vehicles but this is the first pano and I wouldn't buy another one in hot climates. I...
And the Rebel's slight lift doesn't help in the aero dept.
Best bet is reducing weight by avoiding 4wd, lift, oversized wheels/tires, larger fuel tank, pano roof, etc but even then like you say it's still a truck.
One downside is the risk of condensed water freezing inside the hose and catch can.
Depending on how long one plans to keep the truck, I might avoid dealing with messy catch cans entirely.
Anyone else experience a loose sunvisor? I did a quick forum search without any results so I suspect this isn't common or maybe I just use my sunvisor more than normal.
My Laramie sunvisor with vanity mirror has worked itself loose and now slaps the driver in the head when the truck makes...
It's safe to say dealerships don't make as much on warranty work in general. It makes sense given the manufacturer determines the repair rate and they don't want to incentivize work that adds cost to their bottom line.
On the other hand, recalls, TSBs, and warranty work give a chance for the...
Glad to hear they shouldn't refuse relative to not being able to duplicate the problem. The last couple of weeks I could honestly say my a/c functions well but outside temps have tanked.
It looks like this TSB fix has some promise given there are real hardware/software changes. The techs and...
I wonder if that's more prone with worn tires? All those heat cycles and wear seem to make older tires hard and generally less than ideal especially in colder temps. Add to that lower profile sidewalls and there's even less compromise. Those 22" might be another of those trophy-girl aesthetics...
I saw a Ram 1500 Limited tv ad for up to $8671 off MSRP plus an additional $1000 off for pickup conquest. I assume the latter is for those coming from a competitor pickup. Maybe the Ram incentive ice is beginning to thaw?
I hate to hear these type of stories. Unfortunately it all comes down to whether the dealer wants to honor an extended warranty if it was originally purchased elsewhere. On the other hand, $106 seems like an odd compensation for diagnosing and "fixing" a bricked unit.
You gotta wonder when or...
I experienced the whistle a few times during a recent long road trip. Fortunately it only happened on occasion when at 75+mph and with heavy gusting winds. I can't recall if they were head or crosswinds.
I thought the reasons the OP refused dropping the oil pan was to avoid having his crippled Ram an excess distance from home and work being done by an unknown dealership. It slows the timeline but it adds familiarity, confidence, convenience, etc. That's being an advocate for yourself.
Not sure if the 2500's were effected but there was a recent 12" Uconnect OTA update. Others had bad outcomes. Wonder if your's is related or it's a new vehicle quality control issue?
