    Buying used vs new

Sounds like you got a pretty good deal but saying you saved 23 grand isn’t quite accurate. Very few people (anyone?) pay msrp for a new truck which is what the 85k would be. I’m Canadian as well and the msrp on my truck was 90.5k. I paid 73k for it after manufacture rebates and negotiation at...

    Buying used vs new

You don’t see many used vs new threads because this is a 5th generation forum and the 5th generation have only been out 3 years now. Most people who bought new 2019s in 2018 still have their truck or have only recently considered selling them which means there isn’t that many 5th gens on the...

New Member joining for my neice

Rear window crack due to the third brake light. Very common issue.

Who has not had issues with 3rd brake light leaking?

*Knock on wood* I’ve had my ‘20 for over 10 months and no leak so far.

Anybody wish they had bought a different vehicle?

Happy with mine but wish it had 20’ instead of 22’ wheels.

    Gears & 3.6 & 5.7 = Gas?

If your main concern is gas mileage are you sure you want to be driving a truck? That said, get the 3.6L (v6) and 3.21 gears. Those will give you the best gas mileage.

New 21 Laramie owner coming from F150

From the research I’ve done, if you live somewhere that is near sea level, you’re better off running 89. If you live a few thousand feet above sea level, you’ll be fine with 87.

New to Ram - Big Horn or Laramie?

Something I haven’t seen mentioned is that you can’t get passive entry in the Big Horn (unless that’s changed in the 2021). There was a mega thread on this forum about people disappointed the Big Horn did not have passive entry and it was quite the chore to try and add it (many unsuccessful)...

To buy or not to buy?

20% off MSRP is generally considered a pretty good deal but some people do even better than that.

To buy or not to buy?

The Limited come loaded with most features standard, and if you add the level 1 equipment group pretty much everything. You can add almost everything you can get in a Limited to a Laramie but you end up paying just about the same price. With the Laramie you have more flexibility to leave stuff...

Glad i bought my Ram last April

The sticker cost of the trucks have gone up. I bought my truck back in February before covid hit and it was 90k msrp (Canadian). I can go build my exact truck for a 2020 on Rams Canadian website and the sticker is about 2300$ more than it was back in February. It doesn’t include any of the new...

Does anyone actually pay for UConnect?

I’ve had it for 10 months now (free year) and I think I’ve used it twice. First time it started the truck no issues. Second time it wouldn’t start the truck for whatever reason and I haven’t used it since. I certainly won’t be paying for it once my year is up.

    Buy now or just relax?

Well I got around 19k off my limited back in February.

    Buy now or just relax?

The Incentives right now are bad compared to pre-covid times. I honestly doubt they will improve very much in January/February because Covid is still high everywhere and affecting most things. If you found the truck you love and are happy with the price now, I’d say pull the trigger. If you’re...

    MFT issue...

My truck did this when I first got it as well. After about 3-4 weeks it stopped. I think there was just a break in period with it. I’ve had the truck about 10 months now and for the past 9 months the MFT has been perfectly fine.

To buy or not to buy?

The employee pricing going on now isn’t as good as the deals pre covid. Having said that, if you want a truck now, get one, as who knows how long covid is going to effect the market. It might be another year or two before we sees incentives as good as pre covid ones. And Ramboxes are super...

To buy or not to buy?

If you can find a 2020 on the lot and get a good price on it, I’d say pull the trigger. Otherwise I’d probably wait because the incentives on new trucks right now are nowhere near as good as they were pre-covid. I have a Limited and love it, but as others have pointed out, all the bells and...

    Having a hard time deciding

If you’re worried about mpg, the Rebel is probably the worst trim level you could be looking at. The Rebel is more about the smiles per gallon. The Rebel might still get better mpg then your 09 but the Laramie or Limited will definitely get better mpg.

    Having a hard time deciding

I’ve heard this a lot but haven’t experienced it. I had a 16 longhorn with air suspension. No issues through 4 winters in Southern Alberta with it. It’s now way up north in the N.W.T. With my dad and knock on wood but he’s had no issues so far. My 20 limited has the air suspension as well and...
