Known issue with the Taser. Why people buy brand new trucks and decide to plug $2 Chinese junk electronics into them is beyond me. You could have just voided your warranty for the PCM, TCM if the taser caused the issue.
I have been up the chain with this and basically FCA says there is no design issue and 55F vent temp is spec at 90 ambient temps. Odd are if you are not getting that cool then you have a leak.
My first FCA yes but this is about my 9th Chrysler product.;) Your buying a warranty for 5 years and 40K miles so about 2-3 years for the average driver after your factory warranty goes out. Usually I do the repairs myself but as I have gotten older I let the shop do it. Going back to the...
When it was lifetime unlimited miles it kind of made sense but not these barely extended from the factory warranty. A majority of your problems are either going to come in the first few months or after 80K miles.
Its a lot about how you drive and the roads you drive on. My EVIC actually shows worse MPG than hand calculated. I get 21-23 MPG highway and 16 mixed. Yours will get better as it breaks in. Just wondering have you put bigger tires on your truck?
She was executive case support, which is a separate entity I believe. She said they had technicians that would work with the dealership service but she didnt elaborate as to what the issue might be?
I just decided it was good enough and closed the case.
I had the ear of FCA executive support when mine was in the shop but after the second attempt to make it better failed I just gave up. With this heat wave coming I am going to have to do something though
Dont take it as gospel, I have not studied the design of this system its just an educated guess based on what I have observed in my truck. That is however; how past dual climate controls worked.
I had the TSB done and it didnt fix it, took it back and they found a leak in a valve. They fixed it and recharged the system. I now cool down while driving but at idle I am right around 55-60 on the drivers side and it still gets hot.
1. Maybe not, but I have been fixing HVAC in Chrysler for about 20 years now. In the dual climate control you have two blend doors one for each side they close the each side independently that how they work. So one can be sealing off the heat from the heater core and the other letting it by. I...
1.The AC system is cooling working as expected, the issue is with plenum and the blend doors. It seems to me that the drivers side blend door isn't closing all the way allowing warm air in to the drivers side of the box. One way to confirm this is to probe out both the drivers side and...
Are you working with the dealer or the FCA? This sounds like you are just trading your old one in for a new one. From my understanding you have the right to arbitration if the vehicle qualifies for a lemon but if you dont meet the lemon law requirements for your state they will not be doing a...
I gave the dealership two cracks at fixing this. First time they applied the TSB and said I am good. I went back and still had 60 degree temps on the driver side and 52 on the passenger side. Left it there and let them know it still wasnt fixed. They called me yesterday and said they found a...
I can report that the repair has helped but its still not cold like the 2019 classic they gave me as a rental. Air vent temps are now around 55 degrees instead of 60 when idling. They go down while driving but go back up when I have to idle at all. The dealership did show me the spec sheet...
So the dealer said they found a leaking schrader valve on the liquid line. Is that the high or low side?
My guess is that’s not going to be the issue.
I see some fluid clamps in my future.
