For 2019, the eTorque mild-hybrid system will come standard on all 3.6-liter V6 Ram models, and will be available on 5.7-liter Hemis. Note, however, that Ram will not be using the word “hybrid” in its advertising (more on that a little later).
Simpler in many ways...
so the 130 ft lbs of torque the 48 v E-torque sustem produces is used to turn 1/2 of one rotation and nothing else in any capacity to assist the truck engine? thats your statement ? just want to be sure, the engineers went thru all trouble and expense including the 48v briefcase battery and...
the OEM Goodyear Wranglers on mine were so soft and thin that the limestone in my driveway and on the road to my Camp, penetrated several . causing flats that were not repairable. Really a poor quality tire. Thats when I tried FALKENs .. never had another problem.
is it possible that the issue is in your trailer brakes and not in the controller? worn out or loosely adjusted brake shoes. I have multiple trailers of different weights. adjustment is very easily done on each
I have run Falkens 275x60r20s on 3 of my trucks for years.. I tow up to 12,000 pounds in a Hyd Dump Trailer at hiway speeds. .. never had an issue with a single tire yet . The OEM Goodyears blew in no time . Cant handle the weight . My new truck has Bridgestones on it.. so far they seem to...
hold the bus dude.. 21 E-Torque Hemi /3.21 gears that pulls my 12,000 # dump trailer without issue , and get 25- 26 mpg hiway empty .. what do you tow? BTW with near 400 HP , plus 130 FT lbs with E-torque ,nothing is weak on my hemi
According to RAM, the E-torque is activated for the AUTO-START feature rather than engine starter having to start engine ,then move vehicle. and assists transition into MDS ECO mode [ 4 cylinder] and provides additional torque under load up to 2000rpm where engine torque is low . All this is...
its usually earlier models with glitches, not later.. good to hear theres a simple cure for the issue. The E-TORQUE adds extra torque at low speeds with heavy loads . It would suck to not take advantage of the design
Thats odd, my 2021 E-Torque Hemi has no such issue.. It tows like a beast. I have a multitude of trailers and 2 campers ,from a 1500lb single axle utility , to 7500lb Forest River and up to my Hyd Dump that weighs 12,00lbs loaded .. It tows every one effortlessly .. My previous GMC Seirra was...
hmmm sorry to hear . My 2017 Hemi Crew was absolutely bulletproof.. Oil/filters/tires was all it ever needed in 4 years. My new 21 is doing great. Before the 17 Ram I had a 2015 Sierra Crew. pure junk! after 13 factory recalls, 5 trips to shop for defective ignition coils [one by one...
my Hemi-E Torque is smooth as glass on AUTO-START .. and when transitioning V8 to ECO mode.. unless I really pay attention, I dont even notice it .. There certainly should not be any loud noise
I have used MOBIL ONE EP for decades in all my work trucks.. every single one went 275-300 K mikes of towing trailers ,trouble free and no oil consumption between changes .. In my opinion you just cannot beat it
HAHA I remember those.. buddy og mine bought one. Thought he could pull a FIFTH WHEEL !! what they didnt tell you was it could only pull the weight 45mph and just hope theres no big hill on the way ..
exactly . but some people here get their only exercise JUMPING to conclusions .. instead of getting ALL the facts first and making an informed comment.
maybe you should use the miles you drove divided by the gallons you use to get actual mpg, instead of relying on the truck to tell you .. or learn to drive better
You are entitled to your own opinion but not your own facts.. since you have never been in my truck, you have no facts.. and YES, I do get that MPG in my E-Torque Hemi here in FLAT south Louisiana on the hiway.. My 2017 Hemi got 24-25mpg... maybe your problem is your poor driving habits . I...
