We head to OBX most summers and stay on Carova Beach (north of Corolla). We took the new Longhorn there last August. I was concerned about the 22" wheels, since they don't leave much sidewall for airing down. I aired them to about 18-20psi, which worked fine due to the amount of rain they had...
Very nice. I went ahead and bought a heavy duty rod holder that goes into the hitch receiver. I wanted something that still allowed me to keep my gear in the bed of the truck with the cover closed. I had to rig my own mechanism to secure the rods for when I have to park somewhere. It is also a...
I have not had any real problems with the 12" display. Some features of it could be improved, such as using the full display for Android Auto, wireless AA, full size camera screen, and keeping the surround camera on when doing a multi-point turn or parking.
The phone app is junk. It does not...
I believe the dealer does have to set some stuff up for Guardian to work. I bought my truck last May from an out-of-state dealer, and the only "issue" I had was that the Guardian/UConnect app on the phone did not work. I did not bother to take it in, since I did not have much use for the app...
My Ram was bought new from an out-of-state dealer and delivered and registered in FL. The dealer I purchased from sold me the Mopar extended warranty for a very good price. I am pretty sure I had the warranty docs sent to my FL address, but I am not sure about that. As others have said above...
I had my old Warrior 350 in my bed with RamBoxes with no issues. The ATV is not all that heavy, but I am. I think the tailgate is rated very well, but others may confirm that. I think it may be mention in the owner's manual.
I had my Longhorn shipped by the dealer. There were no issues upon arrival, so not completely sure how they would have handled any paint dings or similar problems I might have found.
The key is to make sure you have a dealer that has many positive reviews from remote buyers. Also make sure your...
I agree with many of the posts above. In my most recent purchase, I was not thrilled with the bank financing rate provided for a used car. I asked the finance guy if there was any reason I could not refinance immediately with my own credit union. (I just didn't have the time to chase financing...
That is not right. If it were simply a firmware issue on your truck, then all the other trucks on their lot with the same radio would have the same issue. It feels like they are wasting your time and hoping you will just go to a different dealer. That may be your best option, all things considered.
The option that I have on my 12" UConnect is on the same half-screen along with the seat coolers and surround view camera. It simply allows me to deploy the steps without opening the door or retract them.
Congrats on your new truck. All these trucks come with the license plate holes in the front bumper. You can get paint matched filler plugs from a member of the forum for 20 or 25 bucks.
I am in FL as well. My wife got her Longhorn last May. It is loaded, and we have had no issues.
These are just my opinions, since you asked. I find it amazing that someone is offering 8yr/0% financing. I have not heard of that. Heck, I am not sure any US lenders offer 8yr financing on a vehicle.
I see 3 concerns with your strategy, however.
1. You are planning to put a lot of miles per...
I walked around a Chevy lot this afternoon when killing some time, and I saw the dealer markup sticker on a new Camaro. Among other things, it had a charge of $249 for Nitrogen. Really? For that price, I would expect the tires to be filled with neon, and they should light up as you go down the road.
Based on a quick search, this part is ONLY for trucks with Ram Box.

You will probably find that the part you referenced is only a divider on its own. Ram stopped including the grommets at the tailgate to...
I had my ram trucked to me from an out-of-state dealer. I definitely was concerned about the hassles if anything was wrong upon arrival. Fortunately, the truck arrived flawless. The dealer secured the transport company, but I had to pay them (obviously). Just be sure the salesman is responsible...
