I had my 2016 Tacoma for 2 years 8 months, - Had two recalls done - plus regular service. Maintenance cost was 0.
The problem with the Taco was it was very underpowered. I like something to happen when you step on the gas, Taco ride, and seat comfort was also subpar.
Only time will tell if the...
Daytime Running Lights (DRL) — If Equipped
The headlights on your vehicle will illuminate when the
engine is started and the transmission is in any gear except
PARK. This provides a constant lights on condition until
the ignition is turned OFF. The lights illuminate at less than
half of normal...
No problems yet with 400miles. My Rebel came in last Friday - went to take a look Friday night - came back Saturday morning and made the deal.
Coming from a Tacoma the Rebel is a beast. Rides better, more power, more room, sits higher, bigger everything, Better mileage - no - but bigger gas...
I used the bag my sunglasses came with, which is microfiber and it cleaned up. I will get a microfiber cloth and keep it in the massive center console. And no I'm not giving up my french fries. Thanks, Icabod
So far from what I am reading is to use a microfiber cloth with water, as Ickabod is suggesting.
That image is after four days of ownership of the vehicle. From some angles, the screen looks clean, But if you get the light at the right angle it looks like hell.
"With the e-torque on and the AC blasting at a red light or at a stop what happens with the AC? "
Air does turn off, blower stays on. It recycles cabin air until you start moving then the air goes back on. I push the stop-start disable button when there is a lot of traffic lights or heavy...
My AC still working great - except when the start-stop -stops. It seems to shut off the compressor and just recycle the air in the cabin. When your moving again the compressor starts working and the cold air returns. This is OK when it's 70, but when it's 95, not so good.
The solution is to...
I have to look and see if the etorque is working, it is just about seamless. As soon as you take your foot off the bake it starts. Gas mileage, after 250 miles average 14.5 with the 3.92 gear ratios. Maybe after it gets some more miles it will improve, maybe.
Just picked up my new 2019 Rebel and drove 31 miles, half in stop and go freeway traffic, outside temp 90 degrees. And happy to report the AC was freezing. With all the talk on the forum about subpar AC was worried but the AC worked as good if not better than my Tacoma.
Level 2 Equipment Group...
Test drove Rebel with eTorque engine this evening. After reading all the AirCon issues was more concerned with the air than start-stop. Outside temp was 78 and air was plenty cold. Going back tomorrow to possibly make a deal and temperature is supposed to be the upper 80s. Will see how it does...
Well, my dealer just called up and said the truck I was interested arrived today. Current temp here is 81. First thing I will do is check out the Air Con. No sunroof or vented seats on this truck so maybe that will make a difference. But if AC sucks - no deal. Heading to check out the truck now.
