I feel dumber having read this.
Anyways, here’s a pic of my setup. I pulled the driver’s side rear seat up to show how the bungee cord keeps the can in place.
The TFL Truck youtube channel reviewed this trim level. While I'm not a fan of the overall look, I do dig those wheels. That being said, it's more likely that @securityguy bought a TRX over a Ridgeline...
I lurked in the Openpilot discord channel for awhile before I bought - they are interested in getting a DT owner to build an interface and test the Comma.ai. I figured it would be something i’d be interested in after having the truck for a bit longer - especially since Consumer Reports rated it...
I have one of these in the back. A bungee cord through the hole on the fold-out storage tray to the lip of the can holds it in place against the rear seat. Has a removable hard liner, and fits standard small trash bags if you like. Looks classy too.

Technically, since this is an "engineer's guide" and I am a pedant, it's the same amount of power. You probably mean "More torque to pull more things."
FYI, Brake Throttle Override has been standard in FCA vehicles for quite some time now:

Also, IIRC, brakes are (supposed to be) more powerful than the engine anyway.
Ignorance of the law isn't a defense from criminal prosecution.
While I don't know all the facts in the case (and neither do you!), it sounds like the State had enough evidence to charge him with a crime. It doesn't matter what you feel is an "actual" crime and what is not, if there is...
A jump cycle consists of a run-up, launch, flight, and landing. The damage occurred during the landing of the jump cycle. You were correct in saying that parts were unlikely to fall off during the flight-time. I was correct in saying that the damage occurred during the jump, at landing...
Lol don't tell me to "think about what I posted" then reply with a bunch of speculative nonsense. I don't know exactly what happened - what fell off or leaked from the truck - and neither do you. When you're dealing with watershed & wetlands law, public vs. private ownership does not always...
Sounds like he polluted the stream, and there was enough evidence to charge. Plastic and metal bits that may have fallen off during the jump are pollution, too.
Don't f*** with the watershed.
Interesting writeup. I did not know that regarding point 6: the engine will go to a specific RPM in the event of a failure. However, I suspect that behavior is programmed in response to a loss of communication, and therefore all failure modes of the Pedal Commander are not covered. As I...
Hey, it's your money, so spend it how you like. I will say, when I worked in the electrical utility world, it was very common to see Exide batteries powering the DC relaying circuits in both distribution and transmission substations.
Is a $150 premium worth it for an extra year of warranty...
If you want a more budget friendly AGM battery, I recommend the Exide 94R AGM. $155 from RockAuto: https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=10521396. Though there's been some question as to the warranty process through RockAuto, I've never had an issue myself. The battery can also be found...
Driving charges the 48V battery through the eTorque motor. The 48V system charges the 12V system via a DC-DC converter built into the PPU. The 12V system cannot charge the 48V system. The 48V PPU is a lithium-ion type battery, and they tend to keep their charge for much longer periods than...
I am not an automotive engineer and the following is my personal opinion.
What's important to remember is that devices such as the Pedal Commander and similar interface with a safety critical system on the vehicle, but as aftermarket devices they are often not designed nor tested to the same...
I'm also an EE. The following does not constitute a professional opinion or advice.
Any wiring on a circuit shall be sized for that circuit's maximum safe current draw, and fused accordingly. I wouldn't expect this wiring kit, with what I assume is a small voltage divider IC, to exceed that...
