I will try this on my '22 Rebel. I don't want to shut off the truck to check the road side mailbox. I get the safety aspect since the truck is keyless, but the two problems with the honks are annoying neighbors and announcing to the world I just stepped out of a running truck. This last item is...
No. Clay bar can damage or remove ceramic. In theory, a mild clay bar used gently may be OK but most pros say no. Also no need to coat ceramic (it is the final coating), have it renewed every now and then.
Ceramic needs no additional product, though each ceramic brand does offer a "maintainer"...
I'm sure it is repairable, probably a couple thousand with panel paint and no real blending. If you don't really care about it, drill a 1/4" hole at the bottom of the crack (make sure it is the end of the crack and does not continue on) to stop it from spreading.
I have seen lots of reports of this over time. May be a connector or harness problem, may be the camera, or Uconnect needs an update.
However with only 17 miles on the truck... Do nothing but drive it for another day or two. It seems in many cases various modules are just going through...
For HSA (Hill Start Assist), check your menus for a setting, it might be off.
Check for pending codes, you may have pending codes which have not set a dash light.
But after checking for any easy clues, or upon confirming something like a code, I would schedule service as you have warranty. The...
Valves not being lubricated? That is a new one, I know of no manufacturer who would rely on crankcase fumes to lubricate intake valve seats.
I also don't think catch cans are necessary to keep the intake clean. I agree they do keep the intake cleaner, just not necessary.
Some claim catch cans...
Just looked and did not find. Need to search every now and then, or wait until Ram makes them available. I could see this being a popular "up badging" for our trucks, I looked as I would put it on my older Rebel.
Looking at live data is a good idea. As followup, with the part replaced twice already, I would inspect the connector on the BCM and the harness it connects to. This could be as simple as a corroded or bent connector pin.
Good on no salt then. Still likely dissimilar metals, possibly steel and aluminum, certainly different steels, but should come apart. Still seems like the suggested tool might be worth it. Torque down a few turns and "pop" it comes loose.
Even a buck a month is not a low enough price. I'll listen to the radio or all the music I have on my phone.
My lady does let it lapse until it is a buck a month. After several cycles, she is now getting repeats of the comedy channels. she may drop it at some point. We also have a lot of...
Not a bad idea. Between the OP being 71 and the truck likely going through a half dozen harsh winters (dulled paint), a little persuasion may make removal a lot easier.
On edit: Look for alignment marks on the windshield, usually printed into the laminate near the wiper tips. Verify these...
Appreciate reading these posts. Changing the oil on my lady's Ford Ranger requires steering hard left for clearance and pulling part of the fender liner, the factory engineers were kind enough to install a trough to route spilled oil filter oil to a pan.
I'm coming up on my first oil change on...
It can happen to a new car, most engines never experience the problem during their service life.
Check the other possibilities first. Then the next step would be to pull the valve cover to inspect the valve train. If a problem is found (loose rockers, low valve lift) and use a borescope to get...
Any Hemi Tick? If so, your assessment may be correct.
The P1417 code can also be caused by low oil, old oil, or wrong viscosity oil. If you just did an oil change, or have not for a long time, I would start with this. Not sure why but apparently a bad knock sensor can also cause the code. A bad...
Give her a tank of 89 and tell her to like it. Then go back to 87. I am half way through my experiment evaluating fuel economy comparing 87 and 89, right now it looks like the additional mileage from 89 is not worth the extra cost. There is an improvement, just not enough. Mine is a Rebel so the...
