Mine did this the other morning when it was -15 F. I have 50 minute drive to work on the freeway, when I arrived it came up with the sensor blocked warning. It so happens the condensation from the exhaust on my trip added a layer of frost on the entire back bumper covering the sensors.
I use it when pulling into my garage, I have a 3 care garage, but its only 24' deep and I park next to my wife's Grand Cherokee, so its super useful for that. Also allows me to get a lot closer to the front of the garage being the park sensors leave a lot of room for error.
I found this interesting, just last night I was taking a look at my fathers 16 Silverado crew cab short box. I believe its the 3:23 rear gears, 5.3 with the 8 speed actually had a lower pay load than my Laramie crew cab, which I have the pano roof, 12" screen etc, which I'd think would lower my...
On my Laramie, in the "controls" menu there is a setting for "Mirror Dimmer". It doesn't appear to be on be default. Not sure if its the same for all mirrors across the line. But this does turn the auto dimming for all three mirrors.
