Yeah that’s kind of what I figured.
What Bluetooth obd tool did you use? I have the one linked earlier bookmarked but it’s $100. I don’t want to spend that much if there is a cheaper alternative.
Thanks
Hey guys I was hoping to get some advice. I'm going from 8.4" non nav to the 12".
Today I installed the 12" screen, module to run it, LVDS cable, 911 cable so I don't get an error, and used a jumper cable instead of repinning the cable with blue tape. I hooked up everything where it belongs...
This is not true.
The directions are correct and were correct for me. I just looked at it wrong. Pay close attention to the pic in the directions. I was confused on the pic orientation and put it in the wrong spot.
Don't spread B.S.
Did you ever find your part number? I went a similar route to you. I found a set of boards on ebay and they didn't come with any wiring. The dealer acted like they couldn't help me. Luckily my father in law had a connection at another dealer and they helped. Go to this link and scroll down and...
I have found that AUTO is totally useless as well. It does seem to cool the truck off faster when its hot out but that may just be in my head. However, once the truck is cool the fan stays on super hi and never lowers. I don't even bother with it anymore. I've never had a vehicle that it worked...
I never did. I shrink wrapped the pins and luckily they have enough grab to hold the pins in the module and then I taped them into the box. Worse that could happen is they come unplugged. I fixed them so they wouldn't short out.
I guess I should update this. I should have a long time ago. I got the steps to work I put the stupid pin in the fuse box in the wrong terminal so it wasn't getting any power. I was looking at the directions upside down lol.
Once I got that swapped they worked just fine. Best item I have...
Dummy me used 4 hi to get up my mom and dads driveway and then parked and left it. Then drove home 4 hours later in 4 hi. I traveled about 30 miles, of which 20 was at highway speeds of 70+ mph.
I wish but its the gold that is scraped off.
The polished aluminum is actually plastic. Can't fix it.
I found on the MOPAR site a new bezel but its hundreds of dollars!
Well I looked again at the back. The plastic tabs are melted to make the bezel pieces attached together. It looks like I’ll have to tape off the bezel and paint it. I don’t want to get into that. Anyone know how to match the color?
Guys your the experts. I got my screen and it was wrapped up well but apparently UPS man handled it and it was scuffed. Looked perfect when seller sent it. See scuff below. Can you buy these scuffed pieces from RAM? I’m sure they are available because there are several different colors but can...
I messaged the guy and nabbed it. Payed him through paypal and sent money as goods and services so I won't get stiffed. Hope he comes through and its not a scam.
Thanks for the tip. That is the nicest/cheapest one I've found for sale online.
