I have org and the ride seems good and the tires do well on snow and ice. Have been pleasantly surprised at the good control on some slippery roads. No problems not having the lsd in wet or even icy conditions. If i want more acceleration security and roads are slick just throw in in 4 auto.
Apples to apples the difference btw a 19 and a 20 is prob nor enough to buy a 19. I had an ecodiesel in outdoorsman line. I could get 30 mpg at 55-60 mph. With my 2020 ram laramie orp I have a hard time getting 20 on same route. I have 5.7 no etorque and 3.21. Cost of diesel is more than gas but...
8 speed trans is one of the most solid transmissions out there imo. No issues with my 10/19 built 2020 laramie. It has the off road package and I took it through some snow drifts today with that locking rear diff and pretty sure it did better than any of my past trucks would have done.
Neokane,
A rebel with the higher rolling resistance tires going that fast with 3.92 dont think you can expect more than that. Wish mine laramie offroad did a little better also but hoping summer fuel and a little more break in might get me a few more mpg. Taking it easy with 89 octane 2 lane...
I have a 2020 laramie with org. I bumped my cold tire pressure up to 42 from 38 and it has added 1.5 mpg to my hyw mpg. 3.21 gears
Got 20.4 today at 60 vs 18.8-19 in the past. Warmer weather and summer fuel might get a little better but thats not bad I would say.
I changed out factory oil to pen u plat. at 1800 miles just a month ago. Wanted a good synthetic with a little bit of molly in for my cold winter starts. I know it probably wasnt needed but made me feel better.
I have tried all 3. 87 octane with 10 per eth, $2.36. 87 octane without eth. $2.70. and 91 octane without eth $3.09. I felt like the truck ran a little better spent more time in eco mode with the the non eth 91 and even non eth 87. Mpg difference was only about 1.0-1.2 mpg. Not enough to offset...
If you are not keeping it long term and want coverage for oil change interval I would just go 8k. Think so long as your monitor is not at zero and dealership did the change you should be ok. If keeping past warranty then maybe more frequent or better oil...?
Afraid the bed cab seal is not my issue with the wind noise. Got out a flashlight and looked down btw bed and cab and i have that seal that covers the middle 3/4 of bed cab area. Guessing my noise is coming from those vents behind the seat?
I have org so that helps an inch but what i do is throw down a 1x6 in front of each tire and then 2 2x10 to give me an additional 3 in of lift. Drive up on that mini ramp and then throw my floor jack under the front to raise it about 2-3 more inches. Wheels still bearing quite a bit of weight...
Egnarp, Report back if the noodle helps with wind noise. I would have the dealership add the original weather strip but wondering how many peoples wind noise is helped with a better seal in that area.
None other than oil analysis others have done with 8-10 k on odometer that show oil that is not yet "worn out". Road and warmed up miles that clear moisture... from oil are easier on oil than many short trips without getting to temp... You are in charge of you and your oil do what makes you feel...
