After really thinking it over, I’m going to stick with the brown interior anyway. It’s my nature to second guess all my decisions, but in the end, I simply don’t want black. I wish they had a light grey option, but I’m good with the brown over the black, even if it ends up clashing a bit with...
My dealer told me that since a VIN has been assigned, no changes can be made. Hopefully my initial choice of brown interior isn’t a regretful decision! I liked the lighter interior but pairing it with billet silver may look funny. Oh well.
Is it possible to make a change if the truck is in D1? I went with the brown interior but am starting to wonder if I should’ve just gone with black instead.
Ordered 6/9. Still in D1. When I checked yesterday, they said I had been in D1 for 11 days, and three weeks was the max time in that phase, according to the person on Ram chat. No build sheet yet.
Ordered a week ago. Did the online chat to check on status, was given my VIN and told that all parts were ready to build or something like that but there was no build date listed as of now. What phase does that put me in?
Go on the website to build your truck with everything you want. It will then give you a PDF with all the specs. Send it to dealerships and ask for the lowest pre-rebate OTD price and that you’re asking multiple dealers and will choose the best offer by a certain deadline. It’s a little tedious...
I ordered my 2020 two days ago. One dealer told me it was the last day to order (obviously I was skeptical that it was a pressure tactic) and another dealer told me you could still order for a few weeks, but no one was able to give me a firm answer on exact date, so I'm not sure they know for sure.
I'd be sure to double-check with a couple dealers just to make sure that's true. I sent out specs to like 20 dealerships and a couple came back saying they couldn't add this or that, while other dealers had no problems building it exactly as I wanted. Not sure what that was about, but probably...
For some good reading, I would start here:
https://clark.com/cars/eye-opening-truth-about-dealer-invoice-price/
It’s a few years old, but it’ll give you a decent amount of knowledge about the process. I highly recommend avoiding the dealerships at all costs in person. Do all your negotiating...
Nice. I just ordered a Laramie and was only able to get to about 12% off, but that’s before incentives. I’m hoping the incentives are good on August/September and it gets me to 20% off MSRP.
Paid my deposit on my 2020 Laramie build!
MSRP $64,565
OTD pre-rebates $61,640 ($56ish before TTL)
I’ll update the numbers in 8-12 weeks or whenever it arrives with the rebates/incentives
So, after receiving around 10 or so quotes for a new build, the lowest offer is about $1k below all other offers. They say they are offering me "employee pricing" plus TTL for an OTD price, and that this is prior to rebates, which will be figured at time of delivery/purchase. Is there anything...
