Went with a set of P275/55R20 Wildpeaks today. Picked them up for $167/tire with price matching from Discount Tire. Love the look, and hopefully I'll love the performance and ride quality as well. Road trips await to see how it goes!
Got the Wildpeaks installed today and love the way they look. My truck now looks like a 4x4. I'll be taking a short road trip next weekend and might encounter some rain, so we'll see how things go then.
Got the Falken AT3Ws installed today. Kept the factory 275/55R20 size and I'm very pleased with the look. 60's would have looked a little better but not worth $200 more IMO. I'll be doing some highway runs next weekend (likely in the rain) to really feel them out.
I debated between the WA and the W for several weeks. Moving from the Bridgestones both are a more aggressive tread design, but the WA's would likely offer a smoother and quieter ride. But the downside to the WA is the softer compound which offers no mileage warranty from Falken, whereas the...
Pulled the trigger on a set of Falken Wildpeak AT3Ws in the stock 275/55R20 size. Getting them installed at Discount Tire tomorrow. FYI, Discount Tire will price match with Amazon (look for free shipping). I'm getting my Falkens for $167/tire with the price match promise vs the $210/tire they...
I had Coopers on my '10 model DODGE Ram (had to get that in) and enjoyed them for the first 20k miles, then it was all slip and slide on wet roads. I'm used to slipping on acceleration with a pickup, but locking the brakes up coming to a stop was the last straw and they were pulled long before...
My wife bought a '20 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the 8.4 system in February, and it updated a few weeks ago, about a week before my Ram's 12" system received an update. That's where we first noticed the volume control getting set to 0 on the Carplay/Android Auto navigation, so I knew exactly what...
Like the look, and plan to put a set on my '19 Laramie soon. I debated on up-sizing but really want to try to keep the ride and fuel economy close to what I'm getting with the Bridgestones, so I think I'll stick with 275/55R20's at least this time around.
When you say the OEM tire is "not as good", in what ways are you thinking? My line of thinking is more that the OEM tire is 3 lbs lighter (better MPGs), softer (more comfortable ride), and less aggressive tread pattern (quieter). Those were the attributes I was looking for in my next tires. I...
I'm trying to figure out if I'm even looking at LT tires or just P-rated tires in both the A/T3W and A/T3WA variants. I know the A/T3WA is the OEM for the off-road group and it's a 113T rated tire in the 275/55R20 size. Pretty sure that's a "P" rated tire. The A/T3W I'm looking at as an...
Ride quality is probably my biggest concern over all other issues. I'm going from a highway tire which I love the ride quality but hate the look and frankly the side tread wear issues plaguing these Bridgestones, so I'm still leaning towards the A/T3WA's even if I can get the A/T3W's for less...
Well today's Amazon search just put a different spin on things. I can actually get the LT's for less than the P's, by about $58 for the set of 4. So there goes the price argument. The tread pattern appears to be less aggressive on the P's, which would likely provide a quieter and smoother...
I'm looking at the P-rated OEM Falken Wildpeaks as well. I don't tow (much), and off-roading is grass field parking for me nowaways. I like the way the Falkens look on the ORP trucks, and have heard nothing but good reports from their owners. My Bridgestones have been suffering from the side...
Too funny. My wife picked up a new GC Overland back in March to replace her nearly 10 year old Durango. Her backup camera in the GC looks much better than her 2011 Durango, so no complaints about that and no suggestions on how to fix it for you. I will say I noticed that her camera has a...
Well I *thought* the download was successful until I drove it today. The first thing I noticed was that my CarPlay volume was all the way down to zero, but I was prepared for that and got it working again. Then my daughter and I both noticed that the air conditioner was working VERY well today...
Just received my OTA update this afternoon (first time driving the truck in about a week). It popped up just as I had shut the truck down. I'm about 30 minutes into the download right now. Hoping for great things on the other side of this (but I'm getting used to disappointment).
Is the best place to get these through their website, or is there an online market that offers similar pricing with faster shipping? I'm almost ready to give it a try as it seems like the perfect solution. I'd get one for my wife's JGC except she usually is running her battery down to 10% and...
I was having CarPlay issues so I just checked my versions and I'm still on 18.27.17 and EQ 3.4. I'm not driving my truck much nowadays, so it may take longer to get prompted for an update. Someone in another thread said they pushed an HVAC update in this version. Anyone with first-hand...
I'm having the same issue. Thought it might have been an iOS update, but now I need to go out and check my Uconnect firmware version and see if it updated on me recently.
