I thought that too, so I called today and cancelled my appointment. I'll just roll the dice and wait until my next oil change. I sure hope my truck doesn't run full speed out of control into a brick wall between now and then! ;-)
Just got a call from my local dealership that my replacement mat is in. When I took the truck in for an oil change a few weeks back I made sure to take my slush mat out so they didn't hack it up. What sucks is that this should be a quick in-and-out, but they are treating it like any service...
Just remember that you are covering more ground than the odometer is showing, so your mileage calculations are also impacted by the tire size. If you were to get the speedometer recalibrated to the larger tires you would see a slightly improved fuel economy number, but it will likely still be...
Loving them so far, but to be honest I'm not putting many miles on my truck these days. They seem to be as good if not better than the Bridgestones in the wet, and don't generate all that much noise. As for side tread wear, that will take some time given I'm averaging less than 50 miles a week...
The Wildpeak AT3W's are more aggressive and you will definitely hear more road noise than you did with the factory H/T tires, but so far I've been very happy with my decision to swap to the AT3W. They are pretty good in the rain, but I haven't had much of a chance to test them on anything else...
It took several trips and taking it to a second dealership but the last TSB finally resolved my brake squeal. It's been a good 10k miles since that repair and no noise yet (knock on wood). Between fixing the brakes and getting rid of the Bridgestones I'm in love with my truck again!
That sucks, but thanks for the reminder. I planned to take mine in next week and would have been livid if they cut my mat without asking for permission first. I will do the same as the other poster and pull my mats before dropping my truck off for sure!
IMHO, if you were seriously ordering the truck for towing you should have checked the 33 gallon box on the order form. Going from 26 to 23 is ONLY 3 gallons, which when towing would equate to maybe 30 miles difference between stops. That's not a big deal when you think about it, is it? So you...
Yeah, this one will probably stay in my VIN records until I sell it or trade it in. My '95 Wrangler has a similar recall floating out there that I never worried about getting fixed either.
I really appreciate all of the input on this forum from fellow Ram owners. When I read my recall that was in the mail today, I was confused as to why they were only discussing cutting the mats. After seeing the pictures of a modified mat, I decided I'd wait. I then found the post with the...
I put a set of the Toyo A/T II's on my Cherokee Trailhawk and they have been terrible in the wet conditions. I wanted Falken Wildpeak A/T3W's but the tire guy I was dealing with convinced me that the Toyo was a far superior tire as far as ride quality and balance. But after that experience I...
I have had good luck with the Lexol Leather Cleaner and Conditioner on my light tan leather interior removing the blue stains from clothing transfers. It hasn't seemed to do any damage and removes the color.
All good arguments for the LT tires, but as you all have mentioned all our needs may differ and YMMV.
My choice was limited by my desire to stay with the factory 275/55R20 size. I would have had to up-size to either a 275/65R20 or 285/55R20 on the Falkens to get an LT tire, so for me that was...
Just wrapped up a 400 mile road trip to test out the Wildpeak P-rated AT3Ws. The drive was smooth with no appreciable wheel flutter at highway speeds. I did hear a bit more road drone over the Bridgestones, but that's expected with the larger voids between tread lugs on the A/T tires over the...
Loved the ride quality, but hated the wear. Do yourself a favor and up the air to 42psi-44psi to try and fight off the edge tread wear pattern that many of us have dealt with on the Bridgestones. My truck is an early build with a recommended 36psi on the sticker, which they learned was too low...
I ran some experiments yesterday afternoon while driving. With MAX A/C on and the temps all the way down, I was reading 43F out of the passenger's side and about 51F out of the driver's side vent. It was 91F outside at the time. I then swapped over to AUTO and was reading about 45F out of the...
I received the update a few weeks ago and what little time I've been in my truck these past few weeks I can say the air definitely feels like it's working better than before. Like others have said, I found myself bumping the temps up to keep from getting too cold. It's been in the mid to upper...
I did a quick search but didn't find any links for the locking lug nut. I picked up the MOPAR locking lug nut set that is made for the 2019 Ram, but the lug is quite a bit longer than the standard lug nuts and sticks out like a sore thumb. Has anyone found a better match to the factory lugs?
