    Rear window surround crack.

How easy do you think it will be to remove after a month or two in the sun?

    Rear window surround crack.

Has anyone been able to successfully apply an external tape or other temporary seal method and get to stop leaking while waiting for the replacement window? I was looking at mine yesterday and I'm afraid much of the water may come from the drip rails on both sides which appear to feed into the...

    Rear window surround crack.

Yeah, I was supposed to take mine in the following Thursday to get my window replaced as well, but on a hunch I called before taking the truck back to them Thursday and it was a good thing I did because it would have been a wasted trip. Then it took over a week for them to call me back to tell...

    Oil leak 2019!

I had the same issue after my first or second oil change from the dealership. In my case it appeared to be dripping from a component directly below (steering or something, can't remember). They found the filter very loose and asked where I had taken it for my previous oil change because their...

    Rear window surround crack.

I just got a call back from my dealership. Glass will not be available until March 29th. :-( Hopefully a PM to Ram Cares will help expedite things for me. I guess it's time to put the blue painter's tape across the top seam of the window to reduce the leaks during the spring storms. Gonna...

    Rear window surround crack.

How long has it been taking to get the windows to the dealerships? Mine was ordered last week but they still haven't received it, so I'll be pushing my visit out another week since their glass guy only works on Thursdays.

    Rear window surround crack.

It could be worse......The 2017/18 F150s had back glass mysteriously shattering for no apparent reason, but more than likely it was also cab flex. I'll take a leak to a missing window any day of the week!

    Rear window surround crack.

That doesn't give me much confidence long-term. If there's a next time I would likely swap it out for a solid window and hope that makes a difference.

    Rear window surround crack.

I also wonder if it has something to do with the shock the frame takes every time the rear window slides opened or closed. When mine hits the stops it does so with enough energy that I can feel it and hear it. I may not bother opening my window up again once I get this repair, just in case.

    Rear window surround crack.

I'm still under warranty thanks to COVID. I would have been well past 36k miles if life hadn't come to a screeching halt in March 2020. But since I parked my truck a year I'm still under 32k.

Dealership trip #1 in the books. The tech found the leak immediately and the service advisor told me it was EXACTLY what I had told him (and provided a copy of the STAR report). They've ordered a new back window assembly and with any luck it will be delivered and installed next Thursday. They...

    Rear window surround crack.

Yesterday we hit the 70's after the deep freeze (for the south) last week. I went out and opened up my windows to let my rear carpet breath and dry out. When I got in to close everything down, I noticed that the slight crack I had seen the day before was now a considerable crack that went all...

    Rear window surround crack.

It may be a case where the service writer hasn't heard of it but the mechanic knows all about it. This is a small dealership, so they use an externally sourced repair technician for their leak evaluations. I'm told this guy works with many dealerships, so it's likely he already knows about it...

    Rear window surround crack.

PERFECT! Thank you! I have an appointment tomorrow and the service advisor had not heard about this issue yet, but I've had really good luck with this dealership looking into these problems and not getting upset if I provide them with some documentation to assist in the search. My original...

    Rear Window Leaking

I'm sure every dealership is different, but most will tell you that a loaner will be provided under the 3/36 ONCE THEY HAVE DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM AND YOUR VEHICLE CANNOT BE DRIVEN UNTIL THE REPAIRS ARE MADE. If they can find the problem within 24 hours and give you the vehicle to drive until...

    Rear window surround crack.

I guess this means I've officially joined the team. Just noticed the wet carpet under the rear seats and looked on the forums to find this thread and wouldn't you know it I've got a crack just above my sliding rear window on the passenger's side. So to catch me up quickly and not have to read...

    Rear Window Leaking

I'm late to the party but figure this is my issue as well. I had the same center tail light leak on my 2011 model and I suspect it is the same on my 2019. I keep a towel under the rear seat and when I pulled it out last week it was wet (and frozen solid), and there is condensation all over the...

Front usb ports dead and android auto not working

Have you looked into how much current the wireless charger pulls vs. what those data ports are rated to provide? It sounds like you are on the edge of pulling too much current so the "smarts" in the wireless charger or the USB hub are constantly detecting a power issue and resetting.

The 2021 Ram 1500 TRX Sucks Down The Fossil Fuels!

It's not just the fuel economy, but the need for premium gas that keeps me away from the 6.2L SC and 6.4L engines. I've gone to the dealership multiple times with the thought of finally buying my "toy" only to talk myself out of it with the true cost of ownership. Having the money to buy a...

    Floor Mat Recall

Honestly this should be a breezeway swap. Drive in, let the tech come out and verify the part number matches the recall, then give you the new mat to install and be on your way. Five minutes, tops. Then they can go back and charge FCA 0.5 hours of shop time to catch up with the paperwork!
