What's your experience with the Wrangler SRA tires on the Ram? I had a set of Goodyear Wrangler HPs on my 2010 Ram 1500 and like most Goodyears I've ever owned I get "one good year" out of them before they become scary to drive in wet conditions. Plenty of tread, but ZERO traction in the rain...
Mine still has the occasional back up moan after sitting a period of time, but I don't mind that near as much as when it would squeal every time I went to slow down. It was flat out embarrassing to me whenever I'd have to stop at the entry gates for work. It sounded like a 20-30 year old vehicle.
Request that they pull up the multiple TSBs addressing the brake noise issues and implement those solutions to your satisfaction. If they are unwilling to do that and the brake noise drives you crazy (as it did me), you may have to consider pushing to have them buy the vehicle back from you...
My replacement is definitely the OLD style, but with the correct date code. The part number/revision code on the invoice was the same, so I figured it wasn't the revised design. Guess I'll just have to wait until this one fails and get it replaced too. Bummer!
I let my passenger's side go until it wouldn't fold or extend but would sit and "pop" and shift around before getting it replaced. At first they tried to tell me it just needed "calibration", but after a few hours of playing with it they recognized the broken gear sound and replaced the mirror...
Has anyone had luck getting the water stains out of the headliner? I'm not sure if mine is still leaking or not, but my headliner looks like total trash now between the water stains and the grease stains from when they installed the back window. Not happy about it at all, but I don't want to...
Quick word of caution. When you order the new 06036802AA Torx head screws for the new 3rd brake light, you might want to order several sets. It appears they are one-time torque screws. I found a tech note that states to torque them to 2.8 n-M, which worked fine the first time. But when I had...
Yes, it is my understanding they had to remove the rear side trim pieces to get the window replaced. They broke parts off of mine and had to order replacements, keeping my truck in the shop a few extra days.
That's pretty much what happened with mine. Found the carpet soaked under the rear seats, but never noticed any water spots on the headliner until later on. The leak seemed to travel down both sides of the window with hardly any indications of the source. The headliner dries quickly, so...
I had a similar situation several years ago with my Durango. We were well over the 3/36 mileage, but had a TIPM issue that the dealer knew was an ongoing problem nationwide but there were no active recalls or TSBs on it yet. The resolution between the dealership and Dodge was that Dodge...
If anyone was wondering, I asked the RAM Cares case agent about the repair warranty on the back glass and she told me it would be good for 2 years and unlimited mileage. I asked twice to be sure it was unlimited mileage, and she said I would be covered from now until April 15, 2023 regardless...
Has anyone verified this new "AG" part is made for the 2019-2020 trucks? When I went to install mine, the new seal prevented the original seal from making a good solid bond with the truck, and there was a visible gap above the light. I didn't even try to test it as I had no confidence it would...
Truck is back home. Glass replaced, along with a new trim piece on the back side near the seatbelt from where they broke a clip pulling the old one off. So far the only blemish I've found is a grease stain on the headliner in about the same spot as one of my many water stains. I'll work on...
It took my dealer 5 weeks to get one transferred from another dealership, then my original order window came in a week later. They've had my truck since Monday and it's been far from smooth. First the window guy was a no-show, then they broke a trim piece when they were pulling everything out...
Yeah, I was going to install the 3rd brake light this evening before the rain came, but now that the dealership will have my truck I told them to look for the wet headliner tomorrow and keep the truck as long as it takes to get it fixed correctly. Hopefully they'll see the leak and replace the...
And the fun continues. Just got a call from the dealer. They got the window installed but broke a trim piece while removing the side panels, so they'll be ordering a new one and hope to get it installed tomorrow. SMH
So the plot thickens for me. Turns out the "window guy" is different from the "leak guy" at my dealership, so this trip will only be for a window replacement and not an inspection of the 3rd brake light or other sources of water intrusion. And to make things worse, the dealership neglected to...
