Looks good. A few years ago, I had and f150 (eco 2.7). Good truck, I enjoyed it, but the trans temp always ran 205-207 when NOT towing. Ford claimed that it was normal, and I don't agree. Never had any issues in the time I owned it, but could never figure out why it ran so hot.
Gotcha. I've been homebrewing since college, might make a nice addition. Back then I just reused sturdy labatt's bottles. It got so much easier going to 5 gallon soda kegs and co2 with an old beer fridge ha. I don't get to make nearly as often as I used to with kids running around, but I...
I don't pull hard and fast either. With my 3.21 and 5,000# camper, I can average around 12-13 mpg. Taking it easy of course. So you're probably in the ballpark. Since then, I've added a level and 35's, so I expect my mpg to go down considerably this year.
Exactly ha. I'm no stranger to the concept. I've cut and polished many projects in the past, and I'm sure I could probably handle it, I just didn't want to take the risk. It's a tradeoff that's all, time vs effort.
Depends on what I'm towing. My 1000# side by side, rarely unless on hilly roads. My 5,000# camper, always. I think it just makes it easier on the truck to get going, and to stop more efficiently. I'm all about minimizing wear and tear when I can.
I debadge everything I buy and my truck had to be the hardest thing so far. I have no idea why. Tried wd 40, goo gone, 3m, everything. Finally got it but it took a bunch of elbow grease. And I don't care for the eraser wheels either. Too much to go wrong there. When dealing with paint, I...
Oh I completely understand. I just go through the spray off car wash all winter until I can do something proper. The roads here are atrocious. I also gave up on dark vehicles a long time ago. They are beautiful, but I don't have the time or the patience.
I've had good luck with griot's compound. I did find that it left paint still a little dull though. I followed up with a lighter polish and that brought it back. All to be expected though when using a compound.
That cigar case is sick! And I'm digging the cigar lounge, Mike. My cigar lounge is in my garage. An exhaust fan that runs through the attic  . But at least I have a wood stove out there, so no complaints.
This is basically how I justified my lease. I don't have the numbers with me, but I can probably find them at home. My dealer (friend of mine) was surprised how low the lease rate was when I got it. It just made more sense to lease vs buy at the time during covid. I'll probably buy this one...
I have e rated 35's and I will confirm they do ride a bit stiff. They also will hurt mpg's and in my case are a bit noisy (mud terrain tires). Doesn't bother me much, but I also don't commute far in my truck as some do. Finding a lighter, less ply, less aggressive tire will help you all around.
I also do my own service because I don't trust anyone. I wrote about it on a different thread here, but I recently changed the oil in my wife cherokee (lease) for the first time. I had it changed at the dealership the first time, because it was free, and because I never planned on keeping the...
Same. We were using amazon music since we already have prime, but since the latest update, it's been garbage. Always crashing with carplay, it was terrible. So we jumped to spotify and cancelled the wife's sirius. I live pretty rural, so it's nice to be able to download playlists too.
