For mine I had to do one side at a time, disconnected the bottom shock and the sway bar and I was able to remove the spring without removing the wheel or liner. I also still have 1” of rake.
I personally haven’t driven an etorque, so I can’t say anything on that part other than it’s new tech and anything can happen. On the moonroof/sunroof front, ive had that option on many vehicles and most without issue. But i also never really used it nearly as much as I thought I would. I...
He did, I actually just recently watched that video. And there is a decent amount of stance, and OP is looking for flush which unfortunately most likely means trimming studs. I don’t think he wants to trim studs as his truck is a lease. He may however be close to flush with the 1/2” spacers that...
I painted my stock ones. A quick scuff, high temp primer then high temp satin black. Turned out great in my opinion, and super simple. At just the cost of a couple cans of paint from the local auto parts store.
That’s my big thing, is I want a good daily driver tune. Something to give me a little more power, better towing but mainly the drivability. My plan is just a drop in filter, muffler swap (maybe a rear resonator delete. Would you say Greene racing is better for a daily driven/drivability aspect?
I’ve heard Greene racing is pretty legit for tuning. But I believe as of now, with having to get an unlocked pcm for our trucks the options are minimal. I’ve only heard hemifever and Greene racing. I myself am looking into Greene racing.
How’s that 6.4 transplant? I like many others think it should’ve been an option to begin with. If you wouldn’t mind, either here or pm, how much did that transplant run you?
You make a very good point, I love the truck and want it to be as reliable as possible and to last as long as possible. But sometimes some minor modifications can actually improve the proper performance of our trucks(and any vehicle for that matter). That’s actually where I’m stuck if I’m being...
What to do what to do. The never ending battle between stock, safe and “no” warranty issues vs unlocked pcm, tune, maybe a super/pro charger down the line, way down the line. But it’s always a want for more power and better drivability but “not” having issues if warranty work comes up. I know...
I have the Goodyear eagle touring on the factory option 22s. I want to say they are 285/45r22, correct me if I’m wrong. But from the dealer they are 35-36psi cold. I read on the tire that it’s a max of 50, and I’ve been undecided on whether to bump them up to even 40-42. The truck rides great...
How’s everyone liking there unlocked pcm and tunes? I’m debating getting one myself. Issues? Concerns, pros, cons. And I see people keeping there oem pcm, has anyone reinstalled it and have/have not had any issues?
Customoffsets.com in the wheel spacer section has some specs on what size spacer should be used in order to avoid cutting factory studs. But a safe bet would probably be 1.75 or 2”. That should definitely make you flush or maybe even a hair outside the fender. I’ve contemplated spacers also(only...
An extra 1/2” drop would look nice, I’m at pretty much spot on 1” of rake right now. So 1 complete coil? Or a specific length, like 1.5” of the total height? I may try cutting my factory springs cuz I know I’ll never go up to factory rear height again.
Chad202, what is the coil amount cut to drop ratio? And it might be a dumb question, but do you cut from the top? I’m contemplating making mine a little closer to level.
I did not transfer over the spring covers, but it is a thought that crossed my mind. I myself have not heard any extra noises from the new rear springs without the spring covers from factory ones.
