I debadged the trim level from the tailgate and sprayed the big ram emblem black. Plastidip, not my preferred method but I had it laying around and figured it’s good enough for now.
I think everyone’s truck may be a little different, cuz I got mid 40s with it being 2 turns open. I believe it also highly depends on the outside temperature. Regardless, this mod works, and I’m looking forward to next summer and having some ice cold a/c.
Alright so here are the results, today after work my weather app said 80* and the truck said 86*. Since it is no longer triple digits everyday I actually tinkered with the settings a little bit, and right now I’m at 4 full turns open from full close. My heat was steadily rising but when I took...
Oo gotcha, my apologies, misread it. I had mine engaged at first but then turned it off but I actually engage it 8/10 when I park. I haven’t heard it engage by itself tho, that is pretty odd.
I installed it tonight, went smooth and I have some installation pictures(which are really just oem, with harbor freight clamp, then completely installed), it’s really that easy. I’m also happy to report I didn’t have as much issue with removing the hose as others have posted. But I’m going to...
Does anyone know the hose size for the catch can? im not really into buying a $200 unit just to catch some oil blow by, when I can get a universal one with the same filtering/baffling for maybe a quarter of the price. it really cant be that hard to find a way to mount a universal one. as long as...
Ready to install, not including the harbor freight clamp to stop coolant flow for install I spent about $12. Plus I went a little extra and high temp painted the valve body. Also, for anyone who hasn’t tried to find out, the valve has 11 full turns from full close to full open.
Amen to that, I feel the same. I still have about 1.25” of rake, but it’s perfect for my future plans. Even my wife noticed it when it was first done :)
Well if you get the 1.5” bora spacers and they work without trimming and there’s no fitment issues post your results. I’d like a more flush or wide stance and not a tucked/factory look. I’m still looking to get some 20x12. But when the factory wheels are on a flush stance would be nice.
That’s weird, I wouldn’t imagine them being any different. I also have never run spacers but I would personally only run quality, like bora. Like the ole saying goes “you get what you pay for”. I don’t want one of my wheels falling off going down the road. Also thanks for the pictures, looks...
I ended up just ordering the valve off amazon as it’s $2 cheaper, and I don’t need 6’ of hose and that many clamps. Thanks for heads up tho, I’ll be sure to get a big enough clamp for the hose.
Since I’ve owned my truck and been on this forum (which I was also looking thru pretty heavily before getting my truck), I’ve always thought my A/C wasn’t as good as other vehicles I’ve owned. Got my windows tinted to include a light tint on the windshield with hopes of helping keep the cab...
