I also have just a carven muffler swap with all resonators still intact. Not sure what series carven, had it done at a local shop and can’t remember. But like stated above, has a good rumble at start up, and definitely loud when you get on it but at cruising speed it’s hardly noticeable. Towing...
how much exactly did you cut off? Cuz I still have my oem springs, I also have timbren load support bump stop replacements and I just had enough load to make them rest on the axle pads and it actually rode pretty well.
you plan on running helper airbags at all? With as much spring as you cut and how level it is unladen, I would think any sort of load, even a full cab of people would make it squat.
Looks good! What’s crazy is how a perfectly level truck almost looks nose high. How does it ride with that much oem spring cut? And what’s the need for shorter links?
I’m looking for another alternative to a “perfect level”. I already have the 2” rear lowering springs, timbren bump stop replacements and have about 1 1/4” of rake. I don’t have the room in the rear to cut springs due to clearance of the timbrens. My thought process, now hear me out, a small...
it was a stupid easy installation. They have 2 different “models” for different applications. The ones I got are technically for “severe duty”, and only got those and not the ones they recommended because I needed the shorter ones due to my lowering kit. I even had to take off the 1” optional...
I just got home from weekend camping trip about 1.5hrs away. I have the aforementioned clip on mirrors, right out the box the driverside was great with no issues. The passenger side needed to be tightened, and after that no issues. Also happy to report my timbren ses bump stop replacements did...
Just an update if anyone is curious. Here is the timbren drtt1500 installed with the 1” spacer removed. There is about 7/8” gap, which is within the recommendations of 1/2”-1 1/2”. I’m going to be checking my wdh set up and will be most likely making adjustments, then I have a camping trip...
I have the primus 90160 aftermarket brake controller. I just picked up trailer on Friday and ended up at 6.0, no lock ups and felt it stopped in line with the truck (no pushing or pulling feeling). Specs are in my signature, but the trailer is 6474 dry with a 790 tw dry. We’ll be going on our...
Picked up the trailer today. I think I need some fine tuning on the equalizer wdh. The truck is with in 1/4-1/2” all around being perfectly level. The front axle is however 80lbs lighter after trailer attached (confirmed by before after cat scale). The trailer is also a little nose down. I’m...
Alright so proper tire pressure and hitch installment. The trailer has a 6474# dry weight and 790# dry hitch weight. I’m a Laramie sport with 22s, cold max tire pressure is 50, and I currently run them at 40. Might bump the rears at least to 45 before pick up. I find it crazy how so many people...
Is anyone here with a 2wd and lowering springs running the timbren bump stop/load assist upgrade? The picture attached is my stock bump stop and it looks a little close like they won’t fit. Can anyone attest to performance and ride quality with and without a load.
