actually when I first picked up the trailer I had the 2” rear drop springs, and with the WDH, everything was good and level for the truck. It was all set up for me at the dealership, so I’m not sure what the initial sag was before installing the bars.
For starters, thank you I appreciate it. I was also on the fence about the 2/4 drop and was leaning on towards a 1/3. Which can be achieved, but it won’t be a straight up kit, as of right now. I have contacted bell tech and crown neither of which have a kit. Currently I believe we only have 3...
I’ve been eyeing these wheels for awhile, and at a 20x10 -24 this is roughly the stance it would give me. Which happens to be about the same as 2” spacers. I want an all black wheel as well. Plus with the 2/4 drop I’m pretty sure I can’t go much wider without rubbing. I’ve already done the...
I have a 2/4 maxtrac drop kit and looking for a nice wheel and tire set up with anywhere from a slight poke to a nice wide stance. Looking to stay with a 20 or 22 and 10 wides. Tire wise I’m looking at 305/45r22 or 305/50r20. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Picture for viewing pleasure and...
Anyone know if these would work for our new body style? My rear axle is only shifted forward slightly after the 2/4 drop. My left to right is good thanks to my adjustable trac bar. Now I’m wondering if I need these for the fwd to aft adjustment, put everything back in line, mainly longevity of...
LoRAM, which 4 link / control arm relocation brackets did you use in the rear? My rear axle shifted fwd maybe an inch since my maxtrac 2/4 drop, it’s not super noticeable but I’d like to look into putting it back in place for longevity of components.
In my case, yes it’s a pavement princess, 2wd and going the street truck route. I’ve had my lifted trucks and done the whole off road thing. Back in my young days. Now I’m older, married and with 2 small kids. Just easier for the entire family to get into the truck.
This is my first personal TT, I may have possibly went overboard with the prep to see what the truck was capable of, my absolute max solo driving and with my whole family (wife, 2 young kids and 3 dogs). Added up family weight, weight of WDH (info in signature), potential cargo and such. I even...
My rig when I first picked her up. 6500lbs dry, 32ft long, about 800lb tongue weight. Pulls very well and smooth. No issues to report. Can’t wait to see how she does with the new lowering kit and helper bags.
Something I’ve been looking into recently and reading thru what seems to be the 2 largest threads about wheel spacers. A lot of debate on what works, the hub size etc. everyone knows bora is quality and has been around probably the longest with the best reputation, but definitely at a higher...
Very nice. Maybe I’ll do something like that. I have about 1.25” of rake still after my maxtrac 2/4 drop. But I’m going to see how the truck sits with airlift 1000 helper bags and my trailer attached before I adjust the non loaded stance.
Has anyone ever done the heater hose used as a spring isolator mod? Run some heater hose 1 full coil on the top and don’t use the isolator, which gives you about an extra 1/4-1/2 drop.
Has anyone ever done the “heater hose” mod for a top spring isolator? Running some heater around the top coil and just not using the isolators? Get maybe 1/4-1/2”, haven’t measured the isolator. But if I can get that extra little drop when I go to do my 2/4 drop without cutting coil, I think I...
quick question on your install, for the rear. with the parts and hardware provided in the kit did everything line back up properly? is the wheel center in the wheelwell or is slightly forward? and is the axle center left to right? just curious on whether or not I need to pick up some additional...
Do you by chance have the rough measurement of the oem 4x4 rear spring? Curious what the difference may or may not be. My 2wd oem rear spring measured in at just over 19” in length with no tension.
