Update, decided to have them install FWP AT4W in 305/55/20. Only a few miles driving home, but I like how they feel. No lose of power ( was afraid of the weight). Really like the wider stance, no rubbing.
Too harsh (E rated) and not good in the wet!
Swapped them out today for FWP AT4 in 305/55/20 standard load. Only drove them home, but so far much nicer ride and power still seemed the same…Hemi 3:92 rear….
Thank you everyone for the reply’s. Shop wants to swap to 305/55/20 Falken AT4 the new one in standard load. I’m going to stop in this afternoon and talk with them.
My Falkens would spin, ever now and then. But only when I tried to. The Toyo’s surprised me in that they would spin just pulling out. Definitely not trying to spin and every time I had trouble.
2 weeks ago I put new wheels and Toyo Open Country AT3 LT285/60/20 on. Messed with the pressure for a few days and drove in dry & rain.
Love the look, love the performance in the dry, but the wet is down right dangerous!
Install shop is willing to swap, my question is what do I go with…Brand...
What pressure is every one running in there LT E rated tires?
I just installed Toyo AT 3’s in LT285/60/20 and can’t seem to decide on what pressure I like.
I have read so much on this and it’s about 50/50 on going 35 or up in the low 40’s.
I like your experience in this and may need to lower them. I have about 500 miles on them and at 40 cold they are a little squirly. They seem to handle better at 35 cold. Just don’t want to wear them either way...
I called Toyo gave them my truck specs and they advised 43psi, mine are the same tire but in LT285/60/20. I’m running 39F & 37R, but still playing to find the right psi.
To be honest I wasn’t sure what I would lose. Everyone is stating we would lose settings. I would have thought maybe radio presets…maybe. No worries, I’m replacing and moving on.
I was thinking about what is going to happen when I switch out my 5 year old battery. I was thinking I would loose all setting. Can you guide me on the small battery charger you used?
