"I agree. I have the 3.21s and it does great on gas for a truck. The only thing is the eco light goes away really fast with just any touch of the pedal. Would like for it to stay on with just a tad acceleration. "
I think this is where the 3.92 rear gains back some of its ileage disadvantage. I...
Before buying, reading the negative posts, I too was concerned.. I think, folks who have problems are drawn to forums to find solutions/vent. Hence the disproportionate number of negative to positive posts. ..Go to the F150 and Silverado forums, they too have problems.
So far, our month old...
What I find most interesting about the gas mileage issue is Motor Trend, in awarding the Ram Truck of the Year had this to say:
"The result is that Ram has the most efficient V-8 in its class; the V-8 eTorque is EPA-rated at 17/23/19 mpg city/highway/combined with rear drive or 17/22/19 with...
At the stop lights I was doing a fairly gentle start, trying to see what MPGs I could get.
Even with the gentle starts, I was surprised at the mileage. With the hills, the "eco" was not on much.
About 800 miles on mine.
Just completed an 80 mile trip through rolling hill country with about 12 stoplights . Made a stop for drinks and another for an appointment. Average speed limit was about 50. Used Adaptive cruise . Ended up with 20.3 miles per gallon.
yeah, IMHO, $2990 for a lifetime warranty on this tech laden of a truck was a scream'in deal...but they are selling lots of trucks so I guess they don't need it to entice buyers.
"Your actual maximum trailer weight numbers are likely to be slightly lower as well due to the added weight of trim/options. "
Payload numbers are lower due to options but I do not think the max trailer weight you can tow is.
Other than indirectly as you are payload (tongue weight) limited...
That is interesting. We just picked up a Longhorn that was built on 08/18. I suspect they build them in batches and the 18th of August was Longhorn day...Our grommets appear to be properly seated.
"Has anyone had any luck having their local dealer match Dennis Dillion online prices on Limited models? "
Sure. I looked at his prices. he is about $12.5K off with the rebate and before "additional qualifying rebates".
In the DC area I got $13K off with rebate and before "additional...
With 600 miles on mine, the "eco" mode (cylinder deactivation) is coming on more and more...my 10 mile round trip to work (city driving with about 8 stop lights each way) has improved from 12 to 14 . I drive pretty conservative.
"The electric load is no different than an alternative unless it's regenerative breaking. "
I think that is the point being made by the poster. They are theorizing the etorque system is in regenerative braking mode (when it should not be) and putting a drag on the engine.
