    22” Limited Tire options please?

I went with Continental Terrain Contact HTs on mine. Couldn't stand the factory Goodyears. I'm 90% highway driving, but also am in the mud on jobsites, too. Honestly, these might be the best tires I've ever had on any of my trucks to date. Quiet on the highway, excellent in the snow, good...

    Some Real World MPG Numbers

I just pulled down my best sustained highway mileage on a 600 mile round trip from DE to RI and back. Managed 18.2 MPG per the truck, and 17.95 MPG hand calc. That was at typical I-95 speeds, which are not kind to the 3.92 rear. My around town mileage has jumped to a steady 17.4 MPG since...

    F150 Lightning

Hybrid, absolutely. Electric - not the way I use my truck. I am not stopping every 150-200 miles for 30-40 minutes each on a 600 mile trip while towing a boat. Just not going to work. Put a fuel cell in it and fill a hydrogen tank in 7-10 minutes, I am all in. If all you do is commute...

    Long Road Trip Report

That's better mileage than I see on the highway, even correcting for the Ram calculator. We did 2,100 miles round trip to Florida back in February and averaged 16.2 MPG (hand calc). Best I have ever seen on a longish trip (600+ miles) is 17.1. Granted, we're usually running 75ish (speed...

    Destined for a new transmission…

I've got an '18 Expedition Max, and it has been in and out of the shop regularly since we bought it brand new (all struts leaked, side mirror getting possessed, leather seams splitting, cam phaser tapping), so I hope your '19 continues treating you better than mine has. My Ram has been a delight...

    Chips in painted bumper

I have 15000 miles on mine, no PFF, just a tube of touch up paint for $15.00. I have fixed 4 little chips so far, all after this crappy winter we just had. Mine is the white frost tricoat, and it hides the touch-up pretty easily.

    Help

I suppose any suspension shop could do it, but it honestly takes about 20 minutes to install, not including finding missing sockets. I put the rear Helwig on my 2018 Expedition for our long vacation trips towing the boat (around 1200 miles round trip) and it changed the entire highway...

    Help

It's not the wheels or the air suspension. Sounds like your WDH isn't set up correctly if the front end of the truck feels light. I tow a 7500 lb 25' boat all over the place with mine (air suspension and 22' wheels) and it does very well, and no WDH setup on a boat trailer. I'd get it on the...

Nice caliper covers, but then the hail came

Holy crap! I hope your insurance makes you whole quickly. That is a royal mess. You know, it never occurred to me how susceptible these panoramic sunroofs are in a hail storm. We don't get many of them here in the mid-atlantic. I have them on both of my vehicles, and I didn't want it on...

Considering canceling order for new Laramie

Roll the dice with any vehicle you buy. My 2020 Limited experience is so far so good (knocking on wood). Got a little bit of brake squeak when backing up on a wet winter day, and that's it. Otherwise is is the nicest vehicle I have ever owned, and that includes multiple "luxury" lines that...

    Chipping/Flaking Rims??

The wheels on my old '93 Blazer did that, and GM replaced them 3 times. As noted above, I would bet nowadays it gets rejected by the dealer. If you find a rim repair place they can remove and re-clearcoat the wheel.

So this happened to me after one week of ownership.

Had something similar happen to my (new at the time) '04 Corvette in the garage of a high-end hotel...except they damaged body panels in the process. When I walked around the corner and saw it I actually physically got sick to my stomach. Good for you taking this in stride better than I did...

    2022 Grand Wagoneer - Wow!

2021 F150 still isn't as nice as the current gen Ram. I was in one the other day, and while it is better than the previous F150/Expedition, it still needs work. Completely agree on the EB, though. My '18 Expedition is an absolute beast off the line towing my boat. That engine hits like a...

    Purchasing Ram vs f150

Looked at all of the big 3 when I bought my Ram and just kept coming back to it. As a point of note, I also have a 2018 Expedition Max, so call it an analog to the F150, and it has been back to the dealer more in 2 years than any other vehicle I have owned. I still really like it as a family...

    Poor gas mileage

I'm seriously interested in the outcome of this conversation. I know the MPG is all over the map with these, but to see a V6 getting stuck on 14 MPG is pretty crazy, even with the Rebel package. Good luck.

Well, it was bound to happen - another truck's mirror hit my mirror!

It sucks that it took so much damage. I've gone mirror-to-mirror with other vehicles with some of my past trucks on tight roads and never had much more than a scuff because the mirror folded in on impact. Guess the speed and the size of the tow mirrors did you in on that one. Nice to know the...

Pennzoil Platinum (and Ultra) $22 "Gas Card".... Expires 3/14

I did it through Amazon in about 5 minutes. Needed to order some for the next oil change anyway. We also have limited Shell stations around here, and they are typically the most expensive by a wide margin, but free gas is free gas!
