Got tint and bedliner in. I had amp powersteps ordered, but they ordered the wrong year and have install set for Friday
Tint was llumar pinnacle 30% on all windows except front windshield for $369. Not impressed with the look of 30% but that’s lowest legal in Texas
Ameraguard bed liner for...
There's been similar threads, but the consensus is that it could be costly and probably not worth the extra 5 gallons. It's not just a matter of changing to a bigger tank, there are other things involved.
I just had Llumar Pinnacle 30% done on all 4 doors and back window for 361 OTD after taxes etc
Bedliner was 330 from ameraguard and turned out great with lifetime warranty. It came out cheap because the installer of my sidesteps ordered the wrong ones and I had to wait almost 2 weeks
PPF was...
Mine was approved Feb 23, no email confirmation of processing for delivery or tracking number as of yet, but the email does say 8-10 weeks.
$250 going towards my window tint!
I'm about to get a quote directly from XPEL as they have an actual HQ in my town. Anyone have experience with their XPEL Prime tint? I might be able to get a discount if they also tint the vehicle.
Going to get a quote for partial hood & fenders, front bumper and mirrors and the XPEL Prime tint.
xPel seems to be HQ'd in San Antonio, or atleast they have an official shop here. So I'm probably going to try and get a lot of my truck PPF'd after seeing how freaking easy it is to scratch and chip. It's already about 50% damaged compared to my 2016 Mazda CX-5 GT going on 3 years vs's 2...
Been running 87 in mine for most of the 2K miles I have on it, just switched to 89 and immediately got an increase in MPG, not sure that increase is worth the 30c extra a gallon though.....
Dusty nailed it.
When I was rambling on with my Dad about this, he also stated that you see no performance gain from higher octanes unless the manufacturer states it and the vehicle is tuned for it. He did state theoretically, our engines "could" see a benefit above 89, but 89 could simply be...
Was your sway bar end links in stock, pretty quick visits or something they needed to keep your truck for a decent amount of period before fixing.
I travel a lot and the whole purpose of buying an expensive truck is to make my travels less stressful and more comfortable. I don't want to be put...
I didn’t have a big discussion with him about it. But stations do get their own gas from certain vendors. Stale can be part of it, but certain additives that’s added can be part, quality control of the gas and so on
In my area, Shell, exon are typically pretty high quality. Sometimes going to...
Alright,
Just had a long conversation with him. He got off on a tangent about oil (that's his specialty) but anyways. So, the 2nd post of this thread is essentially spot on as well. If the engine was designed for 89, then to see all of the performance, gas mileage etc, then it's best to use...
I really ought to ask my Dad this question. I never thought of asking. He's Cummin's lead Chemist and has been for 42 years, actually finally retiring!
The point I'm getting at is that he's had to work directly with this octane differences, performance etc with gas/diesel in various engines...
Man, I thought I did an awesome job detailling my truck, how are those so nice?
I mean, it's supposed to be "Diamond" black which means white dots of color, but your guys are like jet black
I just paid $1537 OTD for mine. I went with 4WP as suggested as it was free installation. Schedule install next Friday.
Now I just need to do tint + bedliner. You guys have any recommendations on companies that I should try?
What is a decent cost for the most important areas for PPF such as Xpel typically run?
I'm off this whole next week and tomorrow morning, I plan on trying to get this all paid for and then go to the Beach for 2-3 days and come back to get my truck completely done.
My plan is to get sidesteps...
Will this protect the fender/flare front from getting dinged up like mentioned in other threads?
I know a good solution to that are some running boards/side steps, but figured I'd add some extra mudflaps just to make cleaning a little easier as it'll catch a lot of the dirt.
Also any other...
I'm not exactly sure that's accurate. I have a 2016 Mazda CX-5 with just as many scratches and dings in 3 years than my truck does in 3 weeks. Surely paint has not changed that much in 3 years. Paint today is supposed to be better and longer lasting than paint from 10-20 years ago.
This paint...
