Also, the service bulletin itself states the build dates where it applies. If yours was built after those dates, you should already have the update installed.
Mine arrived yesterday but was delivered to the wrong house by Fedex. Fortunately, the neighbor brought it over this afternoon. It took me about an hour to install (finding the right tools in my tool chest to maneuver in the tight spaces) but not a big deal to install. I needed a breaker bar to...
Had the update done on mine a little over a week ago and was blown away at the improvement! Surround on and off no longer has any effect at all on mine (loudness-wise). And I can actually feel the bass now. What a great update! Thanks go out to this forum!
Yes, I printed and took the service bulletin that has been mentioned here. I told the service manager that I wanted them to execute this bulletin. He wrote it up and specifically noted the bulletin number (08-123-18). I honestly expected to get the truck back and hear little or no change, or...
Apparently they have resolved the issue. I had them do the upgrade on mine last Wednesday. No issues at all. It's as if I have a brand new premium sound system! It rocks now!
In my case, I had the dealer look at it while I was in for recall work. They determined that the overhead console needs replacing. They did reseat the connector and got it working though. They didn't have the console in stock so I may skip replacement unless it goes back out.
I finally had mine in the shop today for some recalls. On a 2019. Argh! That aside, I also had them do the amp update (Service Bulletin 08-123-18). As others have said, absolute night and day difference! I think me personally could still appreciate an add-on subwoofer/amp but even without it, I...
Confirmed today. I have an appt next week. As with Ford, they looked up the VIN and found all three recalls. Pretty early in the model year to have so many recalls. Hope that doesn't bode poorly.
To check on recalls for your specific vehicle, go to https://www.mopar.com/en-us/my-vehicle/recalls/results.html and enter your VIN. Mine shows three. I've received letters for two of them so far. All three show that the parts are available. I don't know about Mopar but with Ford, you don't need...
Mine said No Drill but required drilling two holes per flap. Wasn't happy about that but the holes are in unobtrusive locations, and not into metal! Like the look or yours. Mine too. I bought the gun metal version.
A little pricey, yes, but handy! My 2019 sits so high that I haven't been enjoying getting in and out of the truck bed! :) I'm leaning toward this one...
Thanks, those fronts don't look bad at all. I think I'll try hanging mine and see what I think. I can always take them back off if I don't care for them. Yours are sure helping keep the mud off of the side of the truck!
Might be five mins on a smaller truck if indeed no drilling required as they state. I have 20 inch factory wheels and had to remove them to do the drilling (two required per flap), and like you, I'm a bit anal retentive, so took my time. RE: the steps, did you buy a bed step or something else...
Just installed my gun metal Gatorbacks today. Rear only. I bought the fronts but they are too large for my taste. If anyone wants to buy some fronts, maybe we can work something out.
