The system has overheat protection. The compressor will shut off before it overheats and give you a warning message. Once it cools, it will start pumping air again. It will not burn itself out.
I'm in Nova Scotia, it doesn't get as cold as Northern Ontario, but we go through a constant freeze/thaw cycle every few days, all winter. Zero issues so far on those -25 days though. No, I would say not enough time to failure test the components, but it showed no signs of running slow in the cold.
I purchased the maintenance plan with the extended warranty when I got my truck. That maintenance plan came with 12 services that expire in 6 years. I will be getting my oil changed every six months, even though I only drive about 7000 miles a year. My truck has 5000 miles on it now, and it's...
Check the lights settings to see if your auto high beams are enabled, they will remain off if it detects another vehicle in front of you or coming towards you. You can turn that feature off. That might not be the issue, but just getting the obvious one out of the way.
I went with the 5'7" box as I just liked the look of it better, plus it's my daily driver and it fits into parking spaces better. Honestly, 5'7" vs 6'4" really doesn't make much of a difference when moving 8 foot objects. LOL. I'm happy with my truck features. I didn't see much use to the multi...
I'm in the same boat as Reverse. I'm considering ditching the 22s for 20s. Tire options are pretty limited with the 22s (if sticking with the stock size). I ran 18s all winter with snow tires and other than noise, the ride was a lot smoother.
Still no massaging seats. Still manual adjusting...
I had a Titan before I got my Ram. I put a catch can in there very shortly after I bought it to catch the oil blow by. The 5.6 from Nissan is a DI engine. My Ram with the 5.7 doesn't even have 5000 miles on it yet, so I'm not even considering a Hurricane at this point, but maybe the next truck...
It's hard to say, and there really hasn't been an "official" word on when the hemi is going away. Ford still offers the V8, even though the ecoboost has been around for years and was meant to be a replacement for the 5.0L. I believe it's only Ram and GM offering a NA 6 cylinder in a full size...
Air suspension is standard on the limited in Canada as well (I have one). There is an air suspension delete option on the build page, I assume it’s the same fir USA models, but not 100% sure.
The Pentastar came with its own set of issues. The cylinder head issues seem to be resolved, but the rocker arm and cooling system issues still seem to exist. There is no perfect engine. Not sure how much longer the V6 will even be available in the Ram with the 3.0L I6 hurricane on the horizon.
Haha it did not. I did some quick calculations at the time. Oil change and tire rotations with synthetic oil are $100 a pop at the dealer, minimum. That's $1200 there for 2 a year. I'm getting too old to do them myself outside in Canadian winters LOL. The rust protection package is another...
It's all about the parts cannon these days. Nothing is serviceable anymore. Easier for them to replace the whole control arm than is is for them to remove it, press the ball joint out, press a new one in and reinstall the control arm. Just like you used to be able to replace a CV boot once upon...
I went the lazy route and got my warranty through the dealer. I'm in Canada, they called it the "protection package" and I got 6 years 16000km (100000mi). It came in a package for $3800 Canadian. About $3000 USD. Included in that package was the extended warranty, lifetime undercoating and rust...
If I were living in my camper full time, and towing weekly, or through the mountains a lot I would have considered the 3/4 ton, but for the 7 or 8 trips I do a year, the 1/2 ton handles it no problem. My Camper is 22 ft. 5500lbs dry weight, 7700 max weight, 710 tongue weight. The 1500 also makes...
