Passenger floor board. Apparently it's a common tsb with some of the earlier models. I have been having water leaks for some time and finally found out about the tsb. It appears some seam sealer was missed, or at the very least inadequately applied to the inner fender structure. There's a...
Knock on wood (with the biggest hammer you got), but so far, no leaks. Tested last night with a hose and all seems to drain properly where it should. Hopefully I can reinstall the fenders and liners tonight with a couple cold ones and move on to an oil change and some cleaning tomorrow.
Got my inner fenders sealed (hopefully). Gonna wait until tomorrow night for it to cure, then I'll water test it. In between coats, I rotated my tires and used the decent weather as a chance to wash the winter salt out of the inner wheel barrels. It needs an oil change and a complete detail...
I'd like to find out who was supposed to be applying seam sealer in the spring of May 2021 and kick him square in the huevos. All in all, not a terrible teardown after watching some youtube. Couple coats of seam sealer this week and hopefully no more leaks. 🤞
The wife and I lemon lawed a brand new kia a couple years ago, and it was a fairly simple process (in Pa). Transmission went out and it was in the shop for some 50 days or so. Couldn't get a new one due to covid and shipping. We weren't in love with the car, so it was kind of our way out. We...
Good to know. Yeah it often gets well below freezing here, then the slush will freeze in huge blobs to my existing steps. I'm just not sure how well they would open and shut with all that ha. I constantly have to remind myself not to close my mirrors over night here in the winter time. I'll...
Yep. I'm 5'8" and the ol lady is 5' on a good day. Steps on a truck with 35's was a must for both of us ha. Honestly, I slide more in and out of the seat in her new Grand Cherokee L though since it sits fairly high and has no steps.
Quietly shopping for a new Ram  My lease is up soon and I'm weighing my options. I found a 23 leftover EcoD with a bunch of money off, so I'm having my guy run some numbers on it if he can do a dealer trade for it. Nothing wrong with my truck (leaky fender aside), and if it doesn't work...
Yeah down here they really frown on Pa residents in NY carrying, but as you say, maybe that is regional. From what I read, I could really only apply for a NY license if I worked there, which I don't, but I am in NY at least 5 days a week though in the winter for hockey (myself, son, and...
I always have something within range too, but I also only live 20 minutes from commie NY state, so carrying is out of the question most of my time. Funny enough, I've only been asked about a weapon once while being pulled over, and that's just because he saw my permit when I pulled my license...
I gotta tear into mine again too. It's leaking again. I thought it was just a clogged drain the first time, but apparently there's more to it as mine is soaked again. The first time I just loosened the inner plastic fender. Thank you so much for the pdf. I didn't know this existed. Maybe...
No, that one is up a couple trim levels. They are sick. But, like most vehicle companies nowadays, every option seems to add about $10k  We got the altitude x because I hate chrome ha. We were making due with 2 rows, but the 3 row is gonna be nice for the cargo room. As you know...
You're probably right, but we're not talking competing companies ya know? Both cars are the same brand ha, so doesn't matter final numbers (to me anyway, I'm sure they care). Oh well. Just wishful thinking on my part.
My buddy had a 12 gt500 with just a pulley swap. Man, 10 years ago, that was filthy in my 24 year old brain. Now, sadly, it would be kinda mundane and normal. I've always loved the 392 cars (challenger and charger). I've said it before and I will again. I think they missed an opportunity...
The ol lady's new cherokee L has wireless carplay and wireless charging. One of the things that sold her on it  . I will admit, constantly plugging a phone in is a bit irritating (first world, right).
Well... apparently I didn't solve my passenger floor water leak. It's back. I'm gonna tear into it again and solve it one way or another. Or I'll push it off a bridge.
On an unrelated Stellantis note, we traded in the ol lady's Cherokee yesterday on a 3 row Cherokee L. So far I really like...
