hitch drop question
I have Laramie with the off-road package, my receiver is 22”, I pull a tandem axle trailer with 15” wheels (don’t recall the tire size) and a 14” hitch height. 6” drop is perfect, I tried an old 4” ball mount I had and the back of the trailer was to low and would almost drag at times -

Thinking of switching from GM , ? on tow performance 5.3l 3:42, 6spd , comparison to 5.7: 3:21 8spd.
I had a 2011 Silverado with a 5.3 and 3:42 gears, I towed a 14’ tandem axles trailer with a side x side and some other gear, total weight was a little over 5,000 #. Now have a Ram, 5.7 etorque with 3:21 gears, still pulling the same trailer and a newer and slightly heavier side x side. The Ram...
