I just talked to my head tech and he is going to order me new weather strips for door and body on the driver's side and see if that solves the problem.
He may have replaced the ground washer as I was not watching.. It was quick and I may have overstated the quickness of 20 seconds, but he did just check the cables and fasteners apparently and this was done with me sitting in the service line inside the building---did not take it to the garage...
My wind noise has no whistle and would not change with recirc--but the head tech told one other time if it went away with recirc on that I would have a severe leakage somewhere. Can't remember what he said this would indicate but remember him saying that--sorry, I can't be more help.
I was at my dealer today for something else, but my head tech performed the recall. It took him about 20 seconds to check a coupe of bolts being tight I believe. I didn't read the whole thing when I checked my VIN yesterday and found it, but he mentioned power steering so must be the recall...
I am fairly new here myself and just hit a 1000 miles today, but others have suggested when you post to give some more details about your Ram--like 4 by 4--, engine, etc. I have not heard any noise when traveling at 35 MPH myself and you can find the specs of my Ram in my signature. But from...
Learned a couple of things today at my dealer about wind noise. Oh, first, off topic--I checked my VIN yesterday and had a RECALL on it. I think they just came out yesterday--he checked the battery cables to make sure I wouldn't lose my power steering. Took about 15 seconds for that. Now...
I didn't take mine today as not enough sleep last night (retired so can sleep in if necessary). I called to the Body Shop and the manager was not going to be there today so I will maybe take it next week. My wind noise is slight but still annoying. My service manager said he usually lets the...
Question---I just talked to my Service manager and inquired about adjusting the door to see if that would maybe get rid of the wind noise I am hearing as I drive just above my left ear. He said to bring it in tomorrow morning and have the body shop take a look at it or he would do it himself...
I have the horizontal seal on mine and a May 18 build and wonder if they took it off after making the production change to improve the over lap safety. The IIHS safety report says for vehicles made after July 2018--think that is correct.
What Electrical said--it takes a long press and maybe longer than you think. Just hold it longer than you think you need too and maybe it will be what you needed.
I like the loud beep when there is someone beside me and I don't see them and turn on my turn signal to change lanes which I always do. I have had this feature for 4 years on my previous Jeeps and they all worked the same. I don't remember it coming on that much when turning and other vehicles...
My overhead map light on the drivers side would come on sometimes but mainly wouldn't. They ordered a part and the work order says "replaced console" and not sure what that means, but it works fine now. They did have to order a part that took a week or so, but it was no big deal that one map...
Mine came on my Ram and was listed on the optional equipment for a $135. I am really satisfied with them. They would be a little difficult to remove and clean, but so far I have just vacuumed them without removing them. They really have great coverage.,
IF they are a good dealer they should be able to do a dealer trade and still give you the same price. My dealer has done that several times for me. I have had my current Ram since 12-11-2018 and most details are in my signature--but not the details of the tires-Nexen and I didn't notice that...
I have wind noise on at least on the driver's side and it is bothersome at higher speeds . (Think there is noise also on s the passenger side if I can get the wife to drive soon I will find out.) This morning while I was out and could only go 45 MPH tops I again did my test of folding the...
When I used the "non heavy foot" for a 45 mile city-hwy combined drive (about 42 signal lights) I averaged 19.2 MPG. I have had several previous Rams with the 5. 7 and never got more than 11 mpg but more like 8-10 mpg. I am averaging with my normal way I like to drive at about 14 MPG (city...
I will have to check on that as for the last several years the first 4 oil changes were free (2 year time limit) and at least one rotation came free with my new vehicle purchase.
Good reminder, I will have a key made from the key in the fob, but keep it in my billfold as I always have it with me. (except maybe when I need it-not hopefully)
I have only filled mine up twice so far, but it worked fine as I locked the pump handle to the fastest speed and just waited till it shut off. I did check once to make sure it was full after it shut off and both times it was. (edit) Mine has the 33 gallon tank so wonder if this would make any...
I would say yes to all your options and add a couple which I did with my purchase of my Big Horn about 5 weeks ago. (see my signature) However, I should have done more research which I usually do. I found this Ram on my dealer's lot and traded my 2018 Grand Cherokee in for it and I don't...
