The air suspension models don't have the air dam. They acomplish the same thing by lowering the whole truck at highway speeds. The air dam would be redundant.
This and you have people out there running the oil wight their grandpa told them about instead of what the manual says.
Add to that, the Internet is famous for a hand full of people with problems seem like everyone has the problem.
Cold starts are where the 5w or better yet 0w comes into play. There isn't much difference between 5w30 and 5w20 in that scenario becuase the oil is behaving like a 5 weight.
A tick for a couple seconds at cold start is normal. All the oil has drained to the pan and it will tick till the pump gets oil up there. The trick is to use oil that will get there and start lubing the fastest. That's why most engine wear occurs as cold start.
Engine tolerances are designed for the oil weight the MFG recommends at a specified operating temperature. The exception is if you are say racing(maybe towing) which subjects the engine to greator then typical operating temps then a thicker oil might be a good choice. As oil get continuously...
I had a Jeep Cherokee with a 3.2 Pentastar that I traded on my ram. It had 70k miles on it with no valve train noise. But I always ran 5w20 Mobil 1 from the first oil change. I will do the same with my Ram.
I used the connector off the factory speakers. It snaps off with a clip. You must unsolder or cut the wires going to the speaker. Then solder the new wires to it.
This happens to a lot of vehicles with "auto" environment controls. The evap coils stay wet due to how much the AC runs. There is cleaner you can get that will kill to mold off the coils.
Set your system to manual and make sure the AC is off and and the vent is on to let the coils dry to help...
This! I can't remember the last time I used a CD. I have access to damn near anything ever recorded on my phone.
I did however use CD's in my 07 Vette but only becuase it didn't have an AUX :( so CD was my only option. I hated fooling with discs again. Upgraded it to aftermarket just to...
Ouch that sucks! Best I can find out is they have to phyiscally modify something inside the ECM to unlock it. Maybe you just got a booger-ed one. Everone is very top secret about how to unlock ECM's. Guess there's just too much money in doing it. I swear the DOD can't keep a secret this...
I've only had my Ram a couple of weeks. I'm curious, have any of you noticed the dealer cheacking and flashing(updating) the ECU TCU whenever you take it in?
The reason I ask is, previously I had a 2016 Jeep Cherokee and every time I took it in for anything they always check to see if there...
If you get your ECM unlocked I suggest going through HP Tuners. HP Tuners will just unlock it. Diablo unlocks it then re-locks(so to speak) it so only they can tune it. Or so I've read.
IMHO the best is the Mopar ram air CAI. But it's stupid expensive. :( The Vararam would be a close second. But I don't like how they handled the breather. It should be part of the intake not just have a little filter slapped on it.
Many tuners desensatize the knock sensors(only thing I can think of that would be called "noisy sensors"). Which isn't really a good idea, mine were desensatized for a while then after more research I put them back to stock. Turning off torque management improves performance no doubt, but it's...
It won't build up on the intake valves of the HEMI like a GDI engine will. But a catch can is still a good thing as long as you maintain it. I put a new intake manifold on my Corvette C6 (port injected LS2) and the old intake was full of crap from the PCV system. Yes you could see it was...
