If it's the downstream O2's you might try O2 spacers. This works with cat below spec codes.
If it's the upstream, your going to need a tune. LTH's move the location of the O2 farther down which must be compensated for in the tune.(on GM LSx engines anyway)
Just found this thread. Mine dose this. Usually only if it's been sitting a while/cold start. But to me is sound more like something hitting a plastic box. I figure if I take it in they won't be able to replicate it. It don't do it all the time.
Could be piston slap. Nothing to worry about if it goes away quickly. Piston shrinks when cold so there's a bit of slop till it heats up.
Many HO engines do this including my LS2.
I had the Alpine and hated the sound. I replaced all the speakers except the sub with Infinity Reference 3 Ohm. Sounds great now!
Sub is still stock as there doesn't appear to be a 1:1 replacement for it.
OP got lucky. I destroyed the original filter trying to get it off. I finally had to drive a screwdriver through it to get it to turn. They must have gorillas installing them at the factory.
I went with the stupid expensive Ram Airflow. Liked the Vararam but didn't like some of the engineering like the breather arangement. The Ram Airflow is great except for the price.
Also it has Mopar written all over it so no warranty issues.
If you blow an engine or trans etc with the supercharger on it then nope they won't cover it. If power locks or something unrelated goes out you would probably be ok on that.
Pretty much figure you power train warranty is void.
